After I finished beating up Ryan(whose name I later learned), I wandered the halls, watching people, observing. I planned ahead so when I came across Mr. Blofis's classroom I already had my stuff. I opened the door and Mr. Blofis said," Ah, Annabeth, I've heard a lot about you."
I smiled and nodded my head and set my stuff down while politely asking," Do you know where Percy is."
Mr. Blofis responded," He is in the pool, practicing for swim tryouts that are tomorrow."
I thank him and head to the pool after asking a couple of people for directions.
Once I get there I stop at the door and sigh. I haven't seen Percy in months. But I still have to stay loyal to my plan.
I crack the door slightly and slip through the opening so Percy doesn't hear me. I then see him. He zooms across the pool and I go sit in the bleachers. He takes a break, sitting on the diving board and I'm afraid he'll notice me. Then do I remember that Percy is the most unobservant person on the planet. I watch him glide gracefully across the water a couple more times and then he heads back to the locker rooms to get changed. I realized I forgot that I had a book in my bag and I mentally slapped my face for not reading it earlier.
I wait until Percy comes out of the locker room and when he does I crouch under the bleacher in front of me. Thank the gods that he didn't see me.
After he leaves I stalk my prey(Percy) until he splits and goes to his locker. I keep walking towards mine, trying to blend in. After a while after he looks confused at what he was doing in his locker and I realized it was now on never. I walked(sprinted) to him and he was still looking in his locker. Yes! Now time for the surprise.
I place my hands over his eyes and say in my best high school girly voice," Hey babe, what are you doing tonight?"
He simply states, without turning around," Ashley, I already have a girlfriend that is the most beautiful person in the world and I love her."
I playfully pout in the way that only I do for him and he whips around. He says wide-eyed," Annabeth, don't take this the wrong way but why are you here?"
I tell him that I'm here to see him(I know cheesy) and to be closer to Olympus and camp. He just smiles and kisses me and once he pulls away he just stares into my eyes. Grey on green. I would have stayed like that forever, but I knew that we had to get to class.
I say," We need to get to class, let me see you schedule."
He hands it to me and I realize that I have all classes with him except when I have architecture he has marine biology.
Suddenly I hear the bell and I shout," Oh my gods I'm going to be late on my first day."
Percy just laughs and whisper," Don't worry 'Beth that's just the warning bell for five minutes 'till class."
I sigh and think to myself that normally whoever calls me 'beth' would usually be at my knife point by now. But when Percy says it, he makes it sound just as good as my name.
He grabs his stuff and we go to class and just one minute after we cross the doorway, the bell rings.
