"Come On ladies! You have to be better then this if you want the company to accept you. Your technique is looking terrible! How did you get into this dance school like that?! I bet the panel just took pity on you, it looks disgusting! No body tension, no poise, NO POINTED TOES, that in infantry stage! Look at Arielle. Why can't eveyone just dance like her. Life would be so easy. Lisa sit out, I can't take your horrible dancing anymore. You too Brandi. It's dreadful!" Madame Lisel complained, "Oh Arielle, beautiful, amazing technique, so elegant. Just perfect darling. Per-fect" she gushed at me.
"Merci Madame Lisel" I curtsied.
Frick, I feel a pink tinge coming to my cheekes, I thought.
"No, no dear, it's only your blush. Ah, matches your hair. You will take out you hair dye and your make up for the company audition right?" she said with a hoping smile,"oh and the rest of you are dismissed. Clean up your act for tomorrow. Brandi and Lisa, one more slip up and you are out! No hesitation." madame Lisel spat at the girls, venom dripping from each word. The rest of the class, along with Brandi and Lisa awkwardly shuffled out the room.
hehe, everyday I'm shuffling. doo do do do do do do do dod do do do do
"um Madame Lisel," i said, bringing myself back to reality, "I won't be taking out my hair dye, but I will remove some make up."
"Oh. Well. Why won't you take out your hair dye? Refor member when you had your brown hair and some mascara? Then you had blonde hair and mascara. Now its false lashes, pink blush, pink lips and pink and blonde hair. Oh Arielle. At least you are taking off your make up. You are dismissed too." Madame Lisel finished walking away with a solemn look on her face. Funny woman. I'm obviously not gonna go. I always work overtime.
For me, ballet isn't just an activity. It's a way of life. Nothing could ever take this away from me.
