One person can change everything

Chapter 27

Laya's POV:

Another day have past, and I was again on my way down to the camping. I came to the store, locked it up and did the usual morning things. Mateo came over after a while. We sat as usual inside the store. Me waiting on people to come, buy their bread, and Mateo just keeping me company. Something I really liked. It was so nice to have someone to talk and have fun with, in this boring morning hours. Before my grandparents came down and I had to clean the cabins. But sometimes it was really stressful in the morning too. When a lot of people were buying bread, or people were leaving early in the morning and haven’t paid when they came.

But this morning was peaceful and it was just 3 people buying bread.

 

“So, what do you think about me bringing you on a real date after your work?” Mateo asked after I had finished talking to a customer.

“What where you thinking?” I asked back and smiled.

“A little trip in to the city, maybe I could take you shopping?” he suggested and smiled his beautiful smile.

“That would be nice, but you don’t have to buy me anything” I said and shook my head a little. He laughed a little and took my hands in his, looking me in the eyes.

“But I want to, and a beautiful girl like you deserve everything”, he whispered sweetly to me. I could feel my face turning red and hot. But I didn’t look away. I smiled a little shy smile and kissed hem on the cheek. “Thanks” I said and he kissed my nose, making me start giggle.

“So, I’ll pick you up after work?”

“I have to get home and change first” I said and sat my hands in my sides. He smiled and nodded.

“Then I’m driving you home and wait till you are finished getting changed.”

“Okay, se you soon then” I said, and stood up. Mateo did the same and kissed me before walking out of the store and back to his cabin.

 

Not long after, my grandparents came down and I started cleaning the cabins. Luckily it wasn’t that many today and after 1 hour and 30 min I was finished. I helped my grandma a little too. When we were finally finished with all the cleaning work my morning shift were over and not long after Mateo came, driving in his car. I jumped in the car beside him and gave him a smile. He smiled back and started up the car again. He quickly drove me home and I ran inside to change.

I walked in to my room and found some new clothes. I walked inside the bathroom and took a quick shower. Not washing my hair, since I did that yesterday. I dried of and jumped in my new clothes. I hurried down the stairs and was about to go out the door when my mom came out of the kitchen.

“Where are you going?” she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Um, I’m going to the city with a friend fore some hours” I said, opening the door. Signing that I had to go.

“Is it Janelle?”, my mom asked.

“No, it’s actually someone I met on the camping”, scratching my neck. I’m a little unsure on what my mom would say if I told her I actually was together with someone I just met on the camping.

“Oh, that’s nice, what’s her name?” she asked and smiled. I looked down a little shy and smiled.

“Actually t’s a guy, his name is James” I said, looking back up at her. Smiling a little.

“So you are going to the city? Doing what?”  She looked a little suspicious, but I also saw a small smile on her face. It seamed like she was a little glad for me. Since I hadn’t been going out with a boy since never and she was probably glad that I finally had found someone I liked.

“Just some shopping, so I have to go, if I’m going to reach back to when I’m going to open the camping again” I said and took a step outside. She followed behind me, looking up to the road where Mateo was standing with the car. She looked back at me and smiled.

“Just be careful” she gave me a tight hug and stroke my hair. I hugged her back and nodded.

“I will” I said, smiling. She let go of me and I walked towards Mateo’s car.

“Se you later mom” I jelled at her before I stepped inside the car. She waved before walking inside and closing the door.

“Looking good, as always” Mateo said, kissing my cheek.

“Thanks, not so bad yourselves” I said smiling at him while he started up the car.
