Laya’s POV:
OMG, I’m so glad that he didn’t was mad or something, I didn’t remember why he should be that in the first place. But now we are even closer than before. We continue too meat and talk every day.
One day I come home from work on the camping I logged on Facebook to continue to talk to my friends about the beach party. We have finally found a date when everyone have time. Next Saturday at 6 PM. We’re going to bath, listen to music and eat a lot of good food. It’s gonna be amazing. But I have to tell Mateo, so he can be a little more careful. I don’t want him to be found. He have told me about why he ran away, and I understand him. If someone tried to force me to date someone I didn’t liked, I also had run away.
So, tomorrow my friends and I are going to have that beach party. I’m so excited. Now I’m at the camping, cleaning some more cabins. When I’m finished I walked back to the store, only to find an again covered up Mateo. Sitting outside the store, waiting on me. He has done that almost every day. When I come down in the morning he sits there waiting on me, and when I have work to do he often stays outside the store, waiting on me. It’s a little cute, he just sitting there waiting on me the whole day. And when we are together we have the best time ever. We have become really close friends and he tells me a lot of different crazy stories about fans and things like that.
It’s so funny to think about that some days ago I didn’t know him, and I had acted exactly like all those crazy fans. Maybe not that crazy, but I can’t tell. I have never been on one of his concerts and I have never seen him in real person before. But now when I know him for the real person he is, I could never imagine myself act like that.
So, I’m walking up to him and sit down beside him. Leaning my back to the wall of the store. Letting out a sight of finally having some spare time. He chuckle a little to my behaviour.
“Hard work day?”, he askes while looking over at me. I looked back at his gaze and smile.
“Yeah, 3 small and 2 big cabins”, I say letting another sight escape my lips. “And one of them was really messy, you should have seen it”
He let out a little laugh and smile understanding to me. “Maybe I will”, I looked at him with curious in my eyes. “Yeah, who knows, maybe my cabin will be a messy whole when I’m leaving”, he says in a ironic tone and laughs. “You dare not to do that, then I’m going to force you to clean it up all by yourselves”. We bot burst out laughing.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m gonna try to don’t mess that much, but I can’t promise anything. You know, I’m a guy, right”, he say in a sarcastic serious tone and continue to laugh.
“So, that's your excuse?” I aske, still laughing.
“Yes”, he says in a childish voice. Making a serious kid face. (If that make sense? Probably not.)
“By the way, me and some friends are going to have a beach party here tomorrow night, so you might be a little careful”, I finally say, after a while of unstoppable laughing. I suddenly remember that I had to tell him.
“And I’m not invited?”, he aske in another childish tone and making a puppy face. Which I think is so cute. He have taken of hiss sunglasses so I can see his whole face properly, but he still have the big hood over his head. I chuckle a little before answering.
“Yeah sure, if you want a bunch of screaming girls after you again. Then just come”, I laughed and smiling sarcastic to him. He laughed too “Yeah, that’s true", he continued to smile that perfect smile, showing his perfect with teeth. “You know, my friends would kill me if they figured out you live here and that I know you. It had been a little funny to see their face expression if I told them”, I laughed. “Yeah, maybe, but remember that you promised not to tell anyone, not even your pet”, he said with a more serious tone in the start but ended up laughing to that pet stuff. I joined him in the laughter and again we were sitting there laughing like some crazy people.
When our stomachs were hurting of all the laughter, I had to go home for dinner, and he again went back to the boring cabin. I promised him again not to tell anyone and I also warned him about the beach on the right side of the camping where my friends and I was going to have the party.
I wished that he could come with us, but it had been a little suspicious if he came together with me, all covered up and stuffs. Everyone most likely had then tried to figure out who he was, and I know my friends. They hadn’t taken a first name as an answer. They had probably tried to take of him the hoody and sunglasses to see his whole face. Something that can’t happen. Not if he wants to stay hide.
When I got home I ate dinner, then I went up to my room and talked some more with my friends about the party. Everyone was really exited and I couldn’t wait for tomorrow. We decided to take with us a dock to get some higher music from or phones. One of my friend was making a list of songs on her phone. We all come wit different song options and she putted them in the list. Of course everyone said Mateo Hortez’s songs, and I sat laughing on my own thinking that they didn’t know who actually was on the camping, playing the music they loved on his own guitar. It had been so cool if I got him to have a acoustic performance for us. But I promised him not to tell anyone, and I’m not going to brake that promise because of some stupide thought of maybe climbing a little on the popularity scale. My need of popularity wasn’t that big. And some how I actually liked to have this big secret hidden from everyone. I felt a little special. Like, who could imagine that it was on my family’s camping, one of the biggest stars would come too.
I sat there smiling on my one a while before I had to go back down to the camping. And again Mateo was sitting there waiting on me. The smile on my lips grew bigger every time I saw his dark covered up figure sitting there outside the store. Weird, but also amazing that he actually was waiting on me. The real Mateo Hortez was waiting on me! Me. Laya Edwards. Just a normal girl. With a normal summer job. Normal friends and a little family. Nothing special. But at some way, my life and his was crossing etch others rode’s. I can’t still believe the fact that this had happen. But her I am, walking down to the camping, meeting my life biggest idols. The one that make me smile, just by listening to his sweet voice, streaming out of my phone or computer. Could it be better?
Maybe? If he by some incredible reason fell in love with me. Like that would ever happen. What am I thinking about, he is a star. He can date everyone he wants, why would he pick someone like me. I’m no one, just a normal, maybe a little weird, girl. Okay, really weird girl. But hey, don’t blame me, that was all my also weird friends work. I’m actually really shy and quiet. But with my friends, o yeah, than I’m crazy. Just ask any of them. But they are not a millimetre better then me. So this beach party is going to be amazing and wild. I can’t wait for tomorrow night.
