* Charlotte's POV *
The five of us sat staggered on the park platform, watching snow drift lazily to the ground. Finn took a final slow sip from a soda bottle, and I watched as he raised it above his head and smashed it on the platform.
Marcel, his girlfriend, screeched as shards of glass flew everywhere. I didn't flinch.
The five of us were so messed up, I'm surprised we're all here in one piece. Finn has anger issues (if you couldn't tell), Marcel is addicted to heroin, Pete is a pothead, and Kat is the town slut.
I'm just depressed. Lame, I know.
Winter break had officially started a half hour ago, but I was without a ride home and it's a long walk back to the apartment. I dialed mom's number into my cheap flip phone.
"Mom? Are you there?" I asked tentatively.
"What the fuck do you want, you're supposed to be home already!" She screamed.
"How the hell can I get home without a ride?" I answered.
"You have two feet, use them. You're damed if you think I'm picking your ass up." And then she hung up.
The tiny apartment was a twenty minute walk from here, but it was snowing heavily and the temp was -2°.
"Hey Pete, do you think you could drive me home?"I asked
"That's so trippy! I have to go by your house anyway! It's fate." He said.
After a long ride in a tiny car that reaked of illegal substances, I was finally home.
I ran right to my room, ignoring mom completely. I couldn't contain my excitement. After begging and pleading with my mom, she finally agreed to let me go to my first concert tomorrow. I saved up all the money I could earn on one Pierce The Veil ticket, but it was worth it. Front row seats competed the deal.
