I'm so nervous. Today was the day I see her parents ever since we split. They still live in England, someplace close to Wolverhampton. I'm hoping they will tell me where you are.

I pulled out the slip of paper where I had written down all the information. As I turn onto Riverside Avenue I search for the correct address. I stop the car one I pull intot the driveway and let out a huge sigh. What if this all goes horribly wrong and they don't even know where she is?  As I walk up to the door I can't help but wonder how her parents wil feel seeing that I actually came back.

Starting to become anxious, I ring the dorrbell. I wait a minute or so then ring it again. The door opens to reveal a man in his early 60s. I must have the wrong house.

"Mr.Thirwall?" I ask him.

"Yes boy?" he asks. He looks at me head to toe. His eyes widen.

"May I come inside and speak to you and your wife?" I ask. He steps inside for a moment and gets a petite woman in her late 50s.

"Oh my" the woman says. The man nodded. "Are you Niall?" she asks.

"Yes" I say. The woman shakes her head back and forth.

"Come inside dear" she says, gesturing inside. I quickly walk inside, but stop to look at the magnificent home I was let into.

"I was hoping to talk to you about Jade" I say. The woman leads me into the living room and we all sit.

"Niall, I remember you. You don't have to act so formal." she says. I nod. "I know you just want answers to all the questions about her whereabouts ." she says.

"Where is she?" I ask.

"In the states" she says. "I can't tell what state she's in, but she wrote you a letter before she left." she said. She senses the tension and walks over to a desk placed in the corner. She rummages through a drawer until she finds a thick letter. She hands it to me and I give her a puzzled look.

"She wrote this?" I ask. She shakes her head, unable to answer. I open the letter and look inside. The contents are some money and the necklace I gave her. She was giving back all her stuff, but why?

"Why did she give me all this?" I ask. She doesn't respond and is in tears soon. What is going on? What happened to Jade?

"Read the letter boy. Read who it's from." Mr.Thirwall says.

As I look back down at the letter and read the first line,  I can already feel the pain surging through my body.

Ms.Thirwall was involved in a serious car accident. She had multiple injuries, including one to the brain. In her last moments of speech these were the words said: Tell him I love him. Mr. Horan we presume this was meant for you to hear. Sadly, Ms.Thirwall did not survive the crash. We are sorry for your loss. If you would wish to see the body come from 4am to 10am on any Sunday. You may put letters, tokens of love, or flowers on your loved ones stone.

Sincerely, California Cemeteries

I tthrow the letter and bury my face into my hands. My true love is dead. I feel like someone stabbed me in the chest. I stand up and punch the wall. I topple over, panting. I can't breath without her. This just proves it.
