Chapter 2

In my mind I was broken. All my thoughts were racing. I had no one to love anymore. I realized I was on the ground. I was panting. I couldn't breath. 

"Water" I breathed. Mrs.Thirwall nodded and scurried into the kitchen. Moments later she handed me a glass of water. Which, I drank at top speed. I felt much more relaxed.

"I knew you wouldn't take this well. Here, get up." she said. I got up and I felt a sharp pain go through my side. 

"Ah" I winced in pain. I fell to my knees. If she can't live, I can't either.

I woke up in, what must have been, hours. I was in a hospital. Liam was sitting off to one side of the room. Did he know about Jade's death? 

"Niall are you awake?" Liam asked me. I nodded. He smiled and let a tear fall from his eye. 

"Thank goodness mate. You scared me for a second." he said. I laughed.

"Li did you already know about Jade, but hid it from me?" I asked him. He nodded.

"I know you wouldn't react well and the rest of the boys still don't know yet. Not even Harry, who got pretty close to her." he said.

"He's gonna be crushed too." I said. As if perfect timing, Harry came jogging in.

"Thank god! Niall you scared the crap out of me" he said. 

"Haz you might want to sit down" Liam said to him. Harry did as he was told and sat down. 

"We have to tell you something very important and you're not going to like it at all" I said. He nodded.

"There's only one way to say this, but Jade's..... dead" Liam said. Harry sat there for a moment. 

"Haz don't freak. That's what ended Niall here" Liam said. Harry nodded. 

"She told me she was at the hospital in her last phone call. She told me it was nothing to worry about." he said. 

"Guys I don't mean to interrupt, but Simon is at the door waiting to come in." I said, pointing towards the door. Simon walked in.

"I'm guessing you all heard about Jade's death" he said. We all nodded.

I was free from the hospital and I promised the nurse I wouldn't be punching anymore walls. I got changed and got my car keys. I walked outside and found my car in the hospital parking lot. I'm planning on forgetting about Jade's death for awhile. The first thing I wanna do before forgetting is go to her grave. She has an unofficial grave, here in England. I stopped at a flower store on the way there. I walked in and found her favourite flowers. I selected them and walked up to the cashier.

"Gift wrapped or just in the cover" a young girl, who looked about 17 asked. 

"Just the cover" I said. She nodded.

"Who are these for?" she asked. I tensed up. I thought forgetting about Jade was going to be easy, but everywhere I went someone brought her up. I keep having to explain her death.

"Erm, my dead girlfriend" I said. 

"Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss" she said. I took out my wallet and got out a $10 bill. 

"No, it's ok. It's on the house" she said. 

"No it's fine really" I said. She refused and handed me the flowers. I didn't argue with her anymore. What was the point anyways? I drove to graveyard nearby. I went into the building next to the cemetery and went to the front desk.

"I'm looking for the grave of Jade Thirwall" I said. The woman typed something into her computer.

"Does the name on the screen match what you're looking for?" she asked. I looked up at the screen that read: Jade Thirwall

"Yes" I said. She typed something else and then looked up.

"Go to the west end of the graveyard, go down three rows, seventh stone in the row." she said. 

"Thanks" I said. 

I walked back outside and crossed over into the graveyard. I followed the lady's directions until I was standing in front of her stone. I knelt down, placing the flowers in front of the stone. In the snow in front of her grave I wrote: R.I.P Princess. I stepped back and took a picture of the stone and my writing. I smiled. I wish she knew how much I needed her in my life right now. I got up, brushing the snow off my trousers. As I walked away, I turned back to look at her grave one last time. 

The first, but last time I would visit her grave. All I could think was R.I.P Princess
