(??? POV)

I hear my alarm clock beep as I slowly open my eyes to only meet my idiotic brother.

"Morning sis!  Time to get up.  It's your first day of school," he said, throwing my uniform to my face.

"Oh shoot!  First day of school!" I bolted up straight.  My brother just laughed and left my room so I can get change into my uniform.  I wonder what house I'll be in.  Most likely Slytherin, I thought as I put on my t-shirt and mini-skirt then put the tie on to finish of the touch.  "DONE!"

I rushed downstairs to the table where breakfast is served.  I quickly gulped down my breakfast and drank my cup of water.

"Slow down there pig!  We're not late, ya know," my brother said, teasingly.

"I know but I'm excited, Draco!  I want to know what my house is and learn new things!"

"Cass, I know you're excited but it's beating the other houses that counts!" My brother exclaimed.  He's all about winning and never really think what the outcome will be before action.  I'm not like him, however I will show those who's the boss!

"Yeah I know! I will," I replied.  "YOU need to stop thinking ideas to beat this Potter person!"

"Never! I'll beat him one day," he said.

"Sounds to me, you had an enemy at first sight," I chuckled.

"Very funny.  Ha ha ha ha," he laughed sarcastically, showing that he's bored of this conversation.  He glanced at the clock and got up.  "Come on.  Time to go."

"Okay," I nodded, gulping down my nerves.

~ Time skip to when you arrive at the school ~

"Gryffindor!" the Sorting Hat announced my house.  My heart sank slightly, knowing the fact that I won't be in the same house as my brother also that I'll be going against him until I graduate!  I got up from the stool as soon as the hat was removed from my head.  I caught my brother glancing at me, nerve hit me immediately and I quicken my speed near the Gryffindor Table.

I sat down at an empty seat.  Instead of cheering and warm welcomes like the other chosen Gryffindor or Houses get, I get murmurs and glares from them.  It was quite uncomfortable.  Not only due to the fact that no one like the Malfoys but also because my family has all been in Slytherin.

"This must be a mistake," I heard one of them whisper.

"A Malfoy? In Gryffindor? Never thought that's going to happen," I heard another say.

"We're going to lose if a Malfoy is in our House!"

And it goes on and on, up to the point where I don't feel like eating at all in case I accidently "spread" my "evilness" to them.  I looked down at the table and can't wait for this to all finish.  Then I found two enchanted paper butterflies flying towards me, one was from Draco because it's green and his initials is on it, the other I'm not quite sure but by the paper, it's from a Gryffindor.  I haven't been in the school for 24 hours yet and I already got a hate note?  I thought to myself.   I gently touched the butterfly my brother sent me, which immediately turned into a piece of paper with something written in it:

Don't worry sis!  If those pesky Gryffindors hurt you, let me know and I'll seek my revenge on them.  Even though you're in Gryffindor, you're still my little sister.  Ask for tips whenever you want.

DM

Despite him being an airhead and not too smart (shall we say), he has a warm heart even though he doesn't show it much.  I smiled at the note, gently folded it and put it in my cloak pocket.

I touched the other butterfly once I did and it became a piece of paper with a note in it like my brother's.  It said:

Welcome to Hogwarts!  And special welcome to be in Gryffindor.  We really thought you'd be in Slytherin when I heard your name.  Anyways, ignore the people murmuring and talking awful things about you.  We hope you'll feel the warm welcome you deserve sooner, instead of later.

Best wishes,

Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger

I stared at the three names.  Potter?  Draco's  enemy!  But he said he's mean and terrible. From this letter as evidence, Potter doesn't sound mean at all, I thought.  I thought about it more and eventually just shrug it off.  I smiled slightly, not caring that everyone is glaring at me.  Maybe I can get through this after all............
