Chapter 2

My leg was shaking under the table. granny began to rub my clamped fists. "how...how?" I could barely find words to ask her how long i had been a werewolf. So many questions were rambling through my head. Granny handed me my robe. "it got a tear when it got caught on the door. I repaired it." she said. I took it from her and tied it on. "your mother was a werewolf. your father was just a human like me.' she sighed. "there were hunts going on for mythical creatures and so i went to a magician and bought an enchanted hood from him.' I stared down at the table, remembering a few moments ago when granny had seen me on the porch and covered me with the hood. "Is that why my parents left me?' I asked. She sighed and shook her head. i looked at her, tears coming into my eyes. "They left because they wanted you to be safe. Your mother was being hunted so they coudl'nt have you being hunted too." she said. "what happens now?" I asked. she shrugged. "well we can't keep living this way...on this farm...people can find me." Granny laughed. "How can you be laughng at a time like this?" I asked. "Red calm down." she said. "we'll be fine." I smiled as she squeezed my hand. "i promise.' she kissed me on the forehead.

That was two weeks ago. I made my way through the police station. My hands rattling in the cold handcuffs. a police officer shoving me whenever i would slow down. he led me into a room with a table and a chair. One wall was a big mirror. he set me down in the chair. A detective strolled in and sat down across from me. he looked at a paper. "so your name is...red?" he chuckled. "Its not that uncommon of a name." i said angrily. "So are you gonna put me behind bars or what?" I asked. He glared at me. " you punched a man walking down the street." I stared him down. "My granny went missing a week ago and you have'nt done anything to help besides sitting around and eating doughnuts." he furrowed his brow. " that man sent me a text and told me to meet him there. he said to bring 100$ cause he had information about where my granny is." The detective leaned forward. "And you trusted him?" I sighed. "I had no other choice, since you guys are'nt doing anything. he fooled me. he tried to take my money but i got him." The door opened and a cop came in with a girl about my age. She had brown, wavy hair and was wearing a fancy white dress. Looking at her fancy attire, I cowered behind my red, hood. "Who's this?" asked the detective. the cop cleared his throat. 'The girl's sister. posted bail for her.' My eyes widened as i looked at the girl. we looked nothing alike and I don't remember my parents having two girls cause she looked the same age as me. "red." she said "Come on, mom's waiting for us.' "Mom?" i asked. "Yes." she said. she grabbed my arm and dragged me out of there.
