It's finally the end of school. Time for the weekend. I would usually spend my days in my room reading but I guess today isn't the time for "me time". Instead now it would be "family time". I still wanted to see the Hunger Games movie though today still.

I'm sitting in the car on our way to the San Diego Zoo listening to Ariana Grande's song Baby I while looking out the window. Gosh, I love this song!

By the time we get to the zoo there was a big line so it took us half an hour to get our tickets. One of us would have to get everyone snacks or go to the bathroom while the other stays in line until the person gets back.

"Ok guys since we finally got our tickets. Where are we going to next?" says my mom.

"Oh oh! I want to see the lions they have here! They're my favorite." says my brother.

I quickly wrote down ,"No. I want to see the penguins first!"

"Lions!"

"Penguins!"

"LIONS."

"PENGUINS."

"Ok that's enough you two! Why don't you do rock paper scissors to see where we go to first."

"Fine. On three. One. Two. THREE."

I looked down at our hands to see who one. I got paper and Calvin got rock.

"Haha! I won!" yelled Calvin.

"Ugh, whatever. Let's just get this over with already.", I thought in my head.

As I walked behind my mom and brother on our way to the lion show, I listened to my ipod not giving a damn about whats happening around me. I looked at the people who passes by me. People with different colored skin, race, and size. There are kids with their parents, teenagers with friends, and couples on a date. Just seeing how happy these people are makes me feel how not happy I am at the moment. I wish I could just curl up somewhere and cry knowing my life has suck in such a way that people won't understand.

We finally reached to the show but man the place is packed. If only we got here earlier we couldv'e gotten a better seat.

Once we gotten our seat the show wouldn't be starting in 10 minutes until Calvin whined at my mom for food. Gosh he could be annoying and such a big baby!

"Mom, I'm hungry again."

~sighs~ "Anna, can you buy something for your brother please? He's hungry again." my mom asked as she handed me a 20 dollar bill.

I got up from my seat and headed for the food stand. As I got there the line was so long that it reached the entrance and back to the front.

It's already past 5 minutes and I'm only half way to the front. I could already hear the show starting as kids started yelling and screaming.

I put on my ear phones and listened to Ariana Grande's Almost Is Never Enough. I started to tap my foot to the music then suddely I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I turned around and see a boy that looked like the same age as me. He has blue eyes that sparkle like water under the sun, blonde hair with streeks of light brown highlights, a button nose, wearing a T-shirt that has a creeper from minecraft, black basketball shorts, and green vans. To me all I can think was damnnn.

"Hey" he said with a grin on his face.

I blinked for a few times him noticing me staring at him. I could feel my cheeks flush with embarrassment. I looked down at the floor not being able to look at him and trying to hide how embarrass i am. What do I say!?

I though hard and started to write. "U-um, hey". And showed it to him.

Gosh I sound stupid. I think he thinks I'm weird since im using a board to communicate. Now he won't talk to me anymore.

He looked at the board and gave me a confused look.

"How come your using the board to talk and not your mouth? Can't you talk?"

I shook my head has to say no to him and looked down a bit sad.

"Oh, im sorry to hear that. i shouldnt had asked."

"Its ok." i wrote.

"So yea im sorry to bother you im just bored waiting in line." He said as he scratched the back of his head.

I smiled and wrote "its alright im bored too."

I looked at him seeing him smiling. "So anyways my name's Max. Max Williams." he said as he stretched out his hand for me to shake.

I grabbed his hand and shaked. "My name's Anna. Anna Del Rey."

"Nice. So what made you come here to this zoo?"

"Family time I geuss. What about you?"

"We came here to take a little break and have some fun. We just moved here a few days ago at Oak Ridge."

"Really? I must've live close to you because I live around that area."

"Haha, no way. But cool." he said with a grin. "Maybe we'll be at the same school together."

"Yea, that would be cool."

"Cool? That would be awesome because well I know you now. I don't have to walk into the school being a no body."

"Hehe, your not a no body. Your Max. That's who you are."

For some reason Max looked shocked at what I said. Did I offend him?

But then he smiled. "Thanks Anna. I appreciate on what you said."

I was shocked myself but smiled too back at him. "No problem, Max."

Us talking seems to fly by fast that we're finally in front of the line. Once I took my order with a hot dog and raspberry iced tea I waited for Max because it didn't seem right to leave him without saying bye.

As he walked towards me we started to walk back to the lion show to our family.

We stopped at the entrance and said our goodbyes. I watched him walk away.

I suddenly realize something. I actually talked to him without stuttering for a change. I couldn't help but smile.

I couldn't believe I made my first and only friend in years. I wish to God that we would be in the same school in the same class because I don't want to be all alone again anymore. I cant stand going back to who i was. Please not anymore.
