The Ship will Sink

The ship will sink upon this shore
A captain knows to cling no more
Abandon ship his final call
Beloved I failed, today befall
Upon dark shadows, my heartsore.
A Captain's fate is death, go down
To depth unknown for him unfound
No longer beats his heart, in death
The ship will sink.
Raise up, and find what you deplore
A skeleton, a rusty deck, no more.
What you find is all that's left,
My faith is gone, perhaps yours cleft
For me, a soul both dark and sore?
The ship will sink.
