Rondeau Stories

This is my ten-form poetry submission to the first annual ATTYS competition. All ten poems are related to the process of coming to terms with different life situations: a miscarriage, the death of a loved one in the Vietnam war; a political abduction; the ex-pat life; a battered wife; betrayal; Alzheimer's Disease; drought; isolation; a mother/daughter relationship. The idea behind this 99 Poem Challenge group project is to build a folder of poems that are all completely different in style . The challenge is also to complete within a year and to be inspired and inspire others to try new styles. Within each poem itself there is a basic description of its type or style and any specific rules involved. Special thanks to @cristinaaragon for the cover design.

Exactly as the title says, it's a bunch of poetry I've made over the course of like three years.

Hopefully this challenge will give me the motivation to write more poetry :P

A close brush with death focuses the mind on the meaning of life. Many of these poems reflect on insights gleaned during recuperation. The rest are fun.

Grip finds himself awake in a strange world with no memory of what happened to him. While Grip tries to solve the puzzle of who he was; his best friend Amy tries to rescue him. Meanwhile they both fight for survival and attempt to unlock the mysteries of the strange world they both find themselves in.

Random poetry and the occasional drabble or dribble of other short random thought from the depths my somewhat bemused brain, or possibly Brian if the schizophrenic misspelt pseudo entity that lives up there is up to his old tricks... poems from the Tardis like halls of my head. No genre is safe...

Rondeau style poem, 15 line in three stanzas. Yesterday a childhood friend, Julie Block, passed away, and she will be sorely missed by all of us who knew her; I wrote this for her.

Annabel started out as a comment on another poet's work, and that poet suggest I post it; I did. Now, it has taken many forms and I thought it best to keep track of this evolution of a poem in one collection, I hope you enjoy it.
