After reflecting on the comments we received from our last chapter, I have decided it would be best to close the book club and keep it as seasonal by updating it only during holiday seasons (e.g. July to September) so that people will have more time to complete their assignments.
I hope everyone can understand my decision, as it has not been an easy one. I feel that the compromise I have come to will allow the book club to still continue, but only in the months where people are active.
A lot of work and preparation goes into the pairings for every single week, and not having a large response to this work isn't very motivating, especially as it takes a few hours to make sure the pairings are correct.
Thank you to those members who gave us their feedback and positivity on this club. I would, however, like to ask members for which months they have more free time in, such as school holidays or breaks from college etc. as in different countries they are at different times of the year.
