The next morning I get out of bed with something on my mind, the Evil Queen, she must have it! She has wanted it for as long as I can remember. The wolf, could it have been the Evil Queen's? Had the wolf come to get my cape? I grab some clothes and a small basket and head out. I don't say goodbye to my grandmother, I just leave. I know this may sound cruel to you, but it couldn't wait, I had to go as soon as I could.

It is still just a little bit dark outside. Branches scrape my face. The trees sway back and forth like dancing people. An eerie feeling shoots through my body. I trudge on, this stinks! Mud is stuck to my shoes, and I have twigs in my hair. I look like someone that had just come from a battlefield, or a person that had just had a bad day of gardening! Something sharp stabs into my arm. I look down, a long stick with feathers on the end of it is sticking out of my arm, an arrow. It has a black liquid on it. The liquid is Dream Shade berry juice, a truly deadly plant. I quickly pull it out, but it is too late. The poison has already set in and it is slowly moving to my heart. Once Dream Shade enters someones blood stream, it goes straight to their heart, killing them within a few days. I know this liquid is Dream Shade because I soon feel my hands fall asleep. My vision starts to go black around the edges, and then I faint.

When I wake up I am in some sort of cave. I hear someone's feet moving around, I am guessing the person is pacing. What are they doing? I think to myself. When my vision gets into focus again, I look around. I see a boy about my age with his head against the side of the cave. His face wet with fresh tears. Why was he crying? I sit up and feel a sharp pain shoot through my body. I wince and lie back down.

The boy turns to my movement "Y-you're...alive?" he asks, and quickly wipes away the tears. I can now tell he has bright sea blue eyes, and medium length auburn hair. His face lined with tiny freckles, and a fairly noticeable scar runs down his left cheek. His face is bright red with embarrassment. Why is he embarrassed? Probably because he was caught crying in front of a girl, typical boys.

"Why wouldn't I be alive?" I ask after a moment of looking him over.

"B-because I shot you with an arrow...with Dream Shade on it...." The boy stutters.

"What is your name?" I ask.

"Alexander Hood, but most people call me Robin, don't ask why." Robin says.

"Why?" I ask with a slight smirk.

"I told you not to ask!" Robin replies in a harsh tone.

I put my hands up in defense. "Geez! Just messing with you!" I reply.

"I didn't save you so you would annoy me!" Robin says. "I am going hunting, don't leave." He adds.

I nod and smirk. I watch as he walks out of the cave. When he leaves I prop myself up on my elbows. Looking around I spot a gold chain hanging on a hook. I get up, I wince again but ignore the pain. Slowly moving forward, inching towards the golden locket. I get to it and look it over. The words 'Alexander Hood' are carved into it. Then I hear a shriek of laughter come from outside of the cave.
