Lorelai was in Great Hall. The girls were all excited about the Yule Ball. Lorelai still didn't have a date. She wanted Draco to ask her. Ten guys already asked her and she turned all of them down. As she read book an owl flew in front of her. It put a package in front of Lorelai. Lorelai took a bit of toast and give it to the owl. Opening the package she saw bouquet of roses and a note. Lorelai smiled as she read the note. "Would you like to go to the Ball with me?" As Lorelai heard those words she turned around and smiled. Draco stood there nervously. Lorelai stood up and nodded. "I would love to." Draco breathed out in relief and then coughed. "Good. See you around." Lorelai giggled at him. He turned around and waved to her. Hermione walked towards smiling Lorelai. "What are you smiling about, Rory?" Lorelai looked at her twin sister. "I have a date for the Ball." Hermione squealed and sat next to her. "I have one too." Lorelai smiled and the two sisters talked. Hermione didn't like Draco but if her sister was happy, she was happy. Lorelai sat next to Hermione, Harry and Ron as four of them did an essay for Snape. He would walk around and everything needed to be quiet. Ron looked at Hermione. "Hermione, you are a girl." Lorelai looked at him confused. "That's a great observation, Ronald." Ron rolled his eyes. "I meant that she can come with one of us." Hermione looked offended. "I'll have you know someone already asked me." She stood up and give her notebook to Snape. She looked at Ron. "And I said yes." Lorelai looked disappointed at Ron. "Great job, Ronald." Ron sighed but then looked at Lorelai. "Rory." Lorelai rolled her eyes. "I have a date for the Ball." Lorelai stood up and give Snape her notebook with a smile. Snape returned it. Lorelai was convinced he had a soft spot for her. Lorelai walked into her room wondering what to wear.
