I absolutely hate the term disappointment. If anyone ever says that they are disappointed in you that may be the stupidest thing in the whole world. Yes, everyone makes mistakes, but no one can ever handle a hard situation perfectly. Saying your disappointed in someone isn't going to help them grow, if anything its going to tear them apart. Why not instead of saying you are disappointed why don't you support them and help them work through the problem. It is ok to not be super proud of their choices but you don't have the right to be disappointed in them they are just trying to do what is best for them because that's all that really matters to them, not how much of a disappointment they are to you.
