Car sickness was something Feggy was familiar with, unfortunately it was as unfriendly as his stomach at the moment.
He had little time the first hour of the trip to warn his friends about the bile coming up from his throat before he rolled down the window and colored the side of the van, along with the window shield of the car behind them.
The first time he emptied his stomach, they thought it was just a fever, but after the bumps and bends and twists the road had in store for them and the more Feggy groaned and hurled, they knew they had to stop eventually if they wanted the van to smell at least halfway decent before they got to their destination.
It was dark but the stars were more spread out and dim when they stopped at a little motel, with a flashing red sign that stood tall attracting customers.
Feggy hardly remembered stepping out of the car, let alone the guy he was traveling with , Kib, parking in the somewhat vacant parking lot. All he focused on was placing his hand firmly on the van's sliding door and clutching his stomach as it squeezed and pushed nonexistent food up his throat.
Kib walked around the van, inspecting it for stains and groaning at what he saw, while their other companion, Ed, had a hand on Feggy's shoulder helping him not fall forward in his own bile.
"Damn it Feggy, it's all on the side of the van," Kib said his brows pinched together while he glared at the mess of chunks on his vehicle.
Ed looked at Kib over his shoulder. "How was he supposed to know that he would get motion sickness?"
Kib's eyes went up to meet Ed's, "You're cleaning it then. Tonight," Kib stressed, it had to be done tonight, if was any later he knew the smell would surely be there.
Ed rolled his eyes, he knew Kib to be the least sympathetic when it didn't come to Ed or himself.
Kib didn't know Feggy much but since Feggy was Ed's best friend, he was invited to join them on their trip up to the mountains. Kib didn't like that, he sure didn't like it that Feggy decided to make heave on his van.
The small banter between the boys went unnoticed by Feggy, as his dizziness began to lessen. He slowly stood upright and peered over at the guys.
Ed noticed his movements and turned to the youngest of the three , "You okay Feggy?"
Kib snorted, "You better hope so, or the ass beaten I'm about to give you will be a whole lot worse."
Feggy was by now used to Kib's rude comments. He wondered how Ed could stand even being around the tall, dark, and grouchy young man. "I'm fine, I just need to lay down for bit," Feggy rasped.
Kib crossed his arms over his chest, "If you're so tired, how about you go in and buy us our rooms."
Ed snapped his gaze on Kib, "Stop it."
The oldest of the three flexed his jaw, "It's his fault."
Feggy was about to apologize for dirtying Kib's van, but stopped himself, he knew the van was not what Kib was talking about. With the realization, Feggy felt even worse about coming along. He didn't mean to ruin the guys' trip.
Feggy felt Ed slip his hand from his shoulder and was surprised to see Ed push Kib from where he stood.
Kib may have been the oldest, but Ed was definitely the tallest out of all of them, so looming over Kib was easy for Ed. "I said stop it, you've been doing this the entire ride here, it's not fair to Feggy," Ed said, his tone struggling to stay leveled.
The dark haired male's nostrils began to flared, "It's like you don't care!" Kib finally exploded.
Feggy's hand curled the end of his shirt nervously, as Kib shouted at Ed, his face going red.
