I rap the door. I do it 5 times to be exact. Then I do it 10 times more. No one comes to answer it, which was what I was expecting. I swore to my friend that this was a stupid Halloween dare, and that the old lady would never me in her house. She was just simply a hermit. Sheltered herself from the world, and probably got so lost in her own thoughts that she went mad. I certainly didn't want to see the inside. Nevertheless I'm here on halloween night knocking on some old lady's door for a dare. Wow I almost can't believe how stupid I've gotten. As I rap for the fifth time and roll my eyes I hear a slight creaking sound.
My eyes pop open like a squashed bug when I see that the door is slightly ajar. I am stiff and my breath quickens. There's a chill in the air that just isn't right. This makes the hairs on the back off my neck spike strait and my muscles turn to jelly. I just feel as though I can't go in the front door.
"Bac, bac. Looks like Teagan's too chicken to go into the hag's lair." shouts Crissy from the driveway.
"Come on T show us you're really as brave as you think." says Gia.
"Shut up G, we all know you couldn't even get the courage to ask Max Carson to dance." is what I reply back.
"Ooo" are the replies I get from Crissy, Kara, and Sara.
"T, you are on fire." Kara says.
"You know it." I say as I take a gulp and step through the front door.
The energy I felt before is nothing compared to what I feel now. It's 10 times stronger and makes me want to run to my mommy. Unfortunately, curiosity got the better of me because I start to snoop around. So far the living room is completely normal, except there are some really strange, decrepit, musty books in a different language lying around. When I take 10 more steps I've reached the kitchen. This is when I almost see black.
All around me are gutted animals, or dead torchered ones. I see bloody chinese cleavers on the walls, along with blood splatters all over the place. Looking down I almost puke because I nearly stepped on a skunk head. I look next to it and see more decapitated animals, such as deer, cats, dogs, opossums, squirrels, and chipmunks. Right from that moment I dart out of the kitchen, until I slip and fall. In the middle of the kitchen floor I find that I have slipped on a furry friends intestine and fell into a sticky warm substance, blood. My first instinct is to scream, yet somehow I don't. My ears have just picked up a sound. It sounds like someone is chanting. I get up, wipe the blood off as best I can, and head up the staircase.
Once up the staircase, I see the old women in the crack of the door. I sit there like a mouse and watch her. I notice that she isn't old at all. She looks around twenty and has black hair and startling gray eyes. She looks around 5'5 and could easily be the prettiest women I have ever seen. She has the perfect body underneath that dark cloak, high cheekbones, pouty red lips, and snow whites pale skin. I then look down and see that she is standing in the middle of a pentagram looking thing. I remember seeing it in one of those weird things in one of her books. I then know it's time to leave.
I slowly stand up, but make the mistake of creaking the rickety stairs as I take my first step.
Suddenly I turn around and those piercing grey eyes stare into my soul. Before I know what is happening. I feel a strong grip on my neck and realize I am being choked. I see the woman in the other room, yet I am struggling to breath. She pulls out her other hand and then, I am being dragged to her. Once I am directly in front of the women she twitched her lips into a smile.
Then says "Gloria (silent), etiam (still)."
Immediately my lips are glued and limbs aren't in my own control.
"I am sure that my father would love a human sacrifice, much more than a bear." cackles the witch.
Pahnting, I have no escape route. I have no voice and nothing to use against her. I am trapped all because of a stupid dare. Suddenly I'm dragged to the center of the circle by this witch. All I can do is sit there as she begins her chanting.
"Surge Domine in malum. Festo die dominico terrae consurgere offerentes. Et tollite indepatrem tantur noctis vigilia omnium sanctorum praesentium. Una enim potest". screamed the witch into oblivion. (Arise, O evil. Of the earth stood up and was on a day of the Lord 's offering. Take indepatrem owing to watch all the holy presence. Together we can. "
Right besides me I see a dark shadow start to appear. Every second it's there I feel it's mad, rampaging, terrifying presence. The shadow starts to take form. Instead of the dark shadow it's now a blood red skinned, human thing with horns in a black cloak. Worst of all was it's smile. It was the evilest grin I've ever seen with white teeth and ear to ear. In his eyes, I saw the depths of hell and his madness. After this I knew I was looking at Satan himself.
"Ha, Deborah you got me what I need for my strength. This was much needed." says the devil. He stalks over to me and I feel his hand on my cheek. I shiver underneath his evil touch. At this, he just laughs.
"Dear I don't lie this will hurt like hell." he says as he touches his finger to my forehead.
Agony, more than anyone has ever faced is what I feel beneath his touch. All of my greatest fears, and pains washed over me.
"Anima et corpus habent in perpetuum vinci!" screams the devil.
(The soul and the body are for ever to be conquered!)
Then and there I see a pitch black the living has never seen.
