Then came the multiple times where my own father starved me... better than physical abuse right? WRONG!!! I once went a full two weeks with only ten granola bars that I had gathered from some friends at school lunch. I became so pale and sick, it felt as if the energy and life had been sucked out of me. I almost passed out many times and actually ended up passing out a couple times... at school... the first time was on a Wednesday, and I was in first hour. I started feeling dizzy and asked the teacher if I could sit out in the hallway for a bit, and as I was making my way out the door, barely able to walk, I collapsed. Then next thing I remembered was waking up in the health room with about eight people standing over me looking down at me, including the principal. They kept asking so many questions and I just answered "no" to every single question. They asked when I last ate and I just said "no". I couldn't think straight at all. They said I had to go home because I wasn't stable, and that I couldn't come back to school until Monday... which would require a doctors note. He forced me to tell the doctors that I had just lost my appetite and didn't want to eat, and that's also what I had to tell everyone who asked... otherwise he'd hurt me more. The second time I passed out was on a Friday a bit later in the year. I asked my sixth hour teacher if I could go to the bathroom, and then as I walked out of the classroom I fell to my hands and knees and in the process I had slammed my head against the lockers. Luckily there was a teacher not far behind me. She tried to talk to me but all I could get out were some noises. Slowly I faded out of conscious, and woke up in the health room with people and the principal hovering over me... again.
