Sigh! I’m so glad to be home, these last few days have been beyond hectic.

KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.

“I’m coming,” I call to the person knocking on my apartment door. I smile as I see Kristy.

 “Hey! Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes? Missed you at our usual lunch date this week and I had so much to talk about!”

“Sorry I had to cancel on you on such short notice honey, but I had to finish some financial statements for the company urgently,” Kristy replies. “So to make up for it I bought ice cream, movies and wine!” she smiles holding up her purchases.

“Nice! What better way to spend a Friday evening than with my girl?”

I settled on the couch while Kristy was putting in the movie ‘New Year’s Day’, “sooo…… last week after we had our lunch date, when I reached back in the office, I got some news that we got two new bosses….”

“Are they cute? They single? Hmmmm?” Kristy asks

“hahahahahahaha,” I tell her, “I wouldn’t know, after the meeting when it was announced I have had to be in court everyday so I haven’t spent much time in the office to find out their personal business.”

“You’re hopeless, why couldn’t you find out that information for a sister, you know hook ah sister up woman” Kristy told me exasperated. I had to shake my head.

“Anyways back to my story, so in the meeting they informed us that our old bosses, their fathers, were retiring and they were taking over the business. They next day I had a meeting with one of them his name is Liam and girl I was drooling when I saw him standing in front of me. Gosh he is so drop dead gorgeous. He is 6’5, strong muscular thighs that looks like he runs a lot, an eight pack, and some kissable lips, and blue eyes like the ocean and he is Italian.” I told her while remembering how he looked in my office.

“Ummm, sounds yummy,” Kristy says after my description of Liam.

“Yep, very yummy, wanted to jump his bones the whole time we were working together in my office last week. But he upset me when he was leaving….”

“What did he do?” Kristy asked curiously

“When I saw him when he came in the office I said Adonis ain’t got nothing on him, but I didn’t know I said it out loud….” I had to stop talking because Kristy was laughing uncontrollably at me.

“Can I finish my story?” After five minutes of her non-stop laughing.

“Sure, Sure. Just can’t believe you said that out loud.”

“As I was saying, I was apologizing to him for that comment and from now on it would be strictly professional between us. However he had the balls to tell me that he wouldn’t be professional with me, that at the end of everything I was HIS!”

I looked at Kristy waiting for a response. “At least he knows what he wants,” she tells me.

“Seriously Kristy! That was not the response I was looking for. I am no man’s possession. How could you see that as a good thing?” I asked her.

“Look Alexia, you know I love but you told me last week that you need a good man in your life. Maybe this guy is the one. Just let things fall and see where it goes.”

Maybe she was right? It wouldn’t hurt to see where things would lead. I will just keep everything under my control so I won’t get hurt again, but I’ll make the best of this situation
