Haven's Point of view//

I watched Jason silently as he chewed on his lip nervously. I placed my hands on my hips, looking at him. "You know you don't have to be afraid to tell me anything, right?" I questioned him. He nodded slowly, gulping once more.

"I know... I didn't mean anything by it. I um, you're my best friend. That's it." He smiled slightly, kissing my forehead. I frowned and nodded slowly, swallowing. Best friend. That's all that I'll ever be to him. Nothing more. I glanced over at Leanne who shot me a look of sympathy. She knew about my feelings for Jason, and so did Alex.

I pulled away from Jason's arms and walked to the kitchen. Leanne waved me over and I went and sat beside her. I looked into the living room and saw Jason talking to Alex before turning back to Leanne and frowning. She wrapped her arms around me and I hugged back. "I love him so much..." I whispered as she rubbed my back gently.

"I know, boo... He loves you, too. I don't know why he hasn't done anything about it yet." She looked into the living room and frowned, making me look up. Jason was standing in there with a girl. But not just any girl. His ex girlfriend. Kennedy Phillips. He laughed at something she said and they walked upstairs. I felt the hot tears threaten to spill over but I shook my head, standing up.

"I-I'll see you later." I walked out of the house quickly before anyone could see the tears that had fallen down my face. I have no right to be crying. Jason isn't even my boyfriend, he doesn't even know how I feel about him. The thing that hurts the most is that whenever she comes back around, he completely forgets that I exist. It's like I'm nothing to him, because she has him so wrapped around her finger that she doesn't realize how big of a slut she is.

I slid down the side of the house, hugging my knees to my chest. There were footsteps and I felt someone sit down beside me. I looked up slowly and saw Jason sitting there with a look of concern. "Baby girl..." He frowned, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "What's wrong?" I shook my head lightly and looked back down at the ground, sighing out quietly.

"Nothing."

"Don't give me that. You should know by now that I know you better than anyone, including yourself. Now tell me what's going on." He stroked my back gently with his tumb and I shook my head again.

"There's no point in telling you, Jason, because I'll be okay. I'm always going to be okay."

"How do I know that? Or you? We can't foresee into the future, so tell me what's going on," he said, his voice raising a bit. I looked up at him slowly, sucking in air through my teeth.

"You wanna know what's wrong, Jason? Your little whore! She's using you, and I don't understand why the hell you can't see it! Everyone does; Leanne, Alex, Jonah, and me! You're the only one who doesn't see it and I'm sick of fucking seeing you hurt."

He clenched his jaw and pulled away from me quickly, looking down at me and growling. "She's not a fucking whore, bitch."

I looked up at him, unable to speak. Had he really just called me that? I heard more commotion and saw Leanne and Alex standing there.

"Jason!" Leanne yelled, her face fuming red. He snarled as I stood up, standing to his level.

"That's what you think of me?" I questioned, looking up at him. He stayed silent. I nodded slowly before continuing, "Alright then. Have fun with your little girlfriend. Because I'm done watching you get hurt." I shoved past him and pulled out my phone, calling a taxi cab to take me home.
