Ariel's POV:
The week went by in a blur. I think it was because I was so nervous about Louis fighting this Saturday. I didn't pay attention in any of my classes, I would talk to Kristi but still I wasn't really zoned in on our conversations.
All my attention was on Louis.
Though, Harry and his gang were acting strange around Louis, that I could tell. I was just too distressed to ask him about it.
Now, it was Friday and Louis and I were at the gym. He was training for the match, but I think he was training more for my benefit than for his.
I was sitting on a bench, watching as he pounded his fists into the punching bag, a look of total concentration on his face. I gulped nervously, my mind still racing with the possibilities for him getting hurt.
His dad seemed like a lowlife kind of man, so he may pull a cheap move on Louis that could really hurt him. I didn't want that at all. I didn't even want him to fight.
I understand why he is fighting, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm freaking out over the fight. I'm a nervous wreck.
"Ariel." Louis' voice breaks me from my thoughts and I look up, seeing him holding a hand out for me.
"Come here." he says, waving his hand at me. I nod, getting up from the bench and walking over to him.
"Yeah?" I ask and he smiles.
"Do me a favor?" he asks and I nod my head confused. "You're going to be my motivation." he says and picks me up. I let out a squeal as he puts me above him on a bar.
"What are you doing?" I ask him as I realize I can't really move.
"Lay down." he instructs and I do so, very carefully so I didn't fall. "I'm going to do pull-ups." he says and I finally catch on. I smile at him and he gives me a wink, making me laugh.
"You're crazy." I say and he laughs. "But you love me." he teases and I freeze.
"Yes...yes I do." I murmur, not thinking he would hear me. But I think he did.
The look of shock on his face said it all and I shyly smiled at him. He smiled up at me as he grabbed the bars.
"I love you too Ariel." he says and my eyes widen. He smiles at me one last time before he began doing pull-ups. Every time he got up I rewarded him with a kiss, making him smirk at me.
"I like this kind of training." he says and I laugh, giving him another kiss, this time making it just a little bit longer than the last.
He goes down and up again, but this time I put my hand behind his neck and give him a deep kiss, almost making him let go of the bar. I let go and laugh as he pouts at me.
"That's it, training's over." he says, picking me up and twirling me around. I squeal again before laughing as he gently lays me on the ground and hovers over me.
"No more training?" I tease and he grins at me. "No, I got a little bit distracted." he retorts and I laugh before he kisses me again.
My hands go behind his neck and I twirl my fingers in his hair, making him hum as I repeated the actions. He breaks away and rests his head on my forehead, staring at me.
"You know, I meant it." he says and I tilt my head to the side. "Meant what?" I ask and he smiles.
"I do love you Ariel. I love you more than I should." he says and my heart swells.
"I love you too Louis. I didn't know I was able to, but...you changed me." I whisper and his smile gets bigger. Before we could do anything else, a cough made us turn our heads to the side to see the manager of the gym giving us a glare.
"Sorry." I mutter and Louis laughs, getting off of me and holding out a hand for me to take. I take it gratefully and he pulls me up, steadying me before intertwining our fingers together and walking us down the hallway.
"I'm going to change, stay out here...unless you want to help me." he says cheekily and I roll my eyes, lightly slapping his arm as he lets out a laugh.
"Pervert." I grumble and he winks at me. He goes into the dressing room and I sit outside, twiddling my thumbs together as I begin to think of the fight yet again.
I knew that Louis wanted me to be there, but I was so afraid to watch it. I didn't want him to get hurt.
My thoughts were interrupted as Louis came out, freshly dressed and smelling nice. He took my hand again as we walked out of the gym and into his car.
"So, a Friday night. What do you want to do?" Louis asks me and I sigh. "I want you to sleep, because you'll need it." I mutter and he gets quiet. "You know I will be okay, right?" he asks me and I look down at the floorboard.
"Louis...I couldn't stand it if you got hurt." I whisper and he takes my hand as he drives, his eyes on the road but his attention was on me.
"I won't. I'll be as safe as I can when I fight." he says reassuringly and I sigh again. "Okay, I just can't help but worry about you." I murmur and he nods.
"Babe, he couldn't hurt me as much if he was fighting me. I'd be in a lot more pain if I knew he was doing something to you that I couldn't stop." he says sadly and my heart flutters at his words.
"Okay..." I whisper, not really sure what else to say.
"Lets grab dinner and go home?" he suggests and I nod, a small smile on my face.
We end up driving to McDonalds and ordering take out before going back to his house.
"Is your mom home?" he asks and I look over, seeing our empty driveway again. "No, she's not." I say with a hint of sadness and he rubs my arms comfortingly.
We sit down and watch a movie while we eat, his mom joining us. Nothing is really said as our attention is captured by the movie, but I found myself not being able to stay awake. My eyelids fluttered closed as I leaned against Louis' shoulder, falling asleep.
***
I woke up in Louis' bedroom, with his arm slung around me. I smiled, turning over to see his eyes closed and his lips parted. He looked absolutely adorable.
I held in my laughter and began tracing his stomach, his muscles contracting as my cold hands went over his abs. I put a hand over my mouth as Louis frowned in his sleep, obviously not knowing what was happening.
I began to trace his v-line, though I wasn't brave enough to go down further, so I trailed back up his stomach and traced his collarbones when I felt his breath become uneven.
"Dang woman, what are you doing to me?" he moans and I retract my hand, giggling as one of his eyes pops open. A smirk comes onto his face as he tugs me closer to him, eyeing me.
"And just what were you trying to do?" he asks me and I shrug. "Nothing." I mutter innocently and he scoffs.
"You dirty minded girl, and you call me the pervert!" he says and my mouth drops. "How rude!" I say and he laughs. "No, it's truth." he teases and I roll my eyes.
He looks over at the time and groans.
"What?" I ask him and he looks at me with a pout. "It's already 3:30 in the afternoon. The fight's in three and a half hours." he says and my mouth falls open.
"No way? We really slept in that late?" I ask bewildered and he nods his head. "We got to get you ready! You need to eat, get warmed up, and-" I start but he cuts me off by putting a hand over my mouth, his body shaking with laughter.
"Calm down, calm down. We still have plenty of time." he says with a smirk, removing his hand from my mouth.
I pout at him and he swiftly kisses me, making me smile as he began to get up. I got up as well, going over to Louis and giving him a hug.
"Stay safe?" I ask him and he chuckles. "How many times are you going to ask me that?" he asks with a hint of humor in his eyes and I frown.
"Until the fight is over." I say and he laughs. He turns to me and holds me tight, looking me in the eye. "I'll stay safe." he says and I smile.
Now if only that would be true...then I wouldn't worry so much about the fight. But with only three and a half hours away from the fight, I couldn't be more worried.
