Chapter 12.1 Extra, Character Profile, Jason (SPOILERS!!)

Name: Jason Greyson

Date of Birth: October 31st 1989

Age: 15

Species: Half Homo Erebus

Likes: Jason's likes are shrouded in mystery. He likes Allen and his partner Emily, but aside from that it is unknown what else he likes other than fighting for the fun of it. He does not have very many things that he's interested in but as the story goes on and he shows more emotion, he will likely gain more likes and interests.

Dislikes: Jason does not like when his opponents go easy on him in a fight. He believes that if two people fight each other, they should do so seriously and to do anything less is disrespectful. He hates his Uncle for ruining most of his childhood and is somewhat resentful of his powers due to their instability when fueled by his emotions. He does not like Summer or Spring as both times of year are far to bright for him. He dislikes light since it weakens him and bothers his eyes. Jason is not comfortable in situations that require him to express his emotions and is unable to technology or modern vehices.

PoW: The 31st day of every month

Ability: Jason possesses the Ability to Conceal or Reveal anything he wishes. This power allows Jason to completely mask the pressence of abouslutely anything or anyone and make it seem as if the taget was never there to begin with or cause things to stand out in such a way that it is extremely obvious. In addition to his other powers, this was how Jason managed to fool Allen during thier battle. He simply concealed himself and Kenji at one point and made it seem as if he was simply vanishing into thin air. This power was applied to Kenji because he managed to figure out Jason's secret to moving around so quickly and his Ability.  As with other Abilities, there is no defined limit as to the possible applications for this power, with Jason's imagination being the only thing to get in it's way. Generally, Jason uses this Ability on himself to conceal his emotions and keep them from getting the better of him. It's only with Allen's help that he's able to reveal who he really is as the story goes on.

Homo Erebus Powers: Jason is a half Demon hailing from the Homo Erebus race of Demons. Created by the primordial God of Darkness Erebus who took the darkest parts of Human nature and gave it a body and supernatural abilties, Homo Erebae are a rather unique species even among Demons. Despite being created from the negative aspects of Humanity, Homo Erebae are more that capable of expressing a full range of emotions. Most however have too much trouble controling their powers while under emotional influence and so shut down to become a race of rational beings ruled by the head as opposed to the heart. As Jason is half Human, his emotions are far more closely linked to his powers than full blooded members of his species. Jason is able to command and freely manipulate Darkness and Shadows in any way he desires. Homo Erebae are innately Magical and so Jason is more than capable of using Magic and due to their intelligence they also possess Psychic powers. The black energy they cloak certain objects in is a manifestation of their Mana and Souls. Jason is able to teleport anywhere within a 100 mile radius using Shadows as a gate or portal. He can see perfectly in pure darkness and is stronger and faster than Humans are. Jason is capable of nourishing himself by draining negative emotions of others and when fighting will induce these emotions on his opponents as he did with Allen during their fight. While his powers are strongly linked to emotions, he has a hard time drawing on his emotions due to concealing his emotions. Due to being half Human, Jason loses his Demonic powers on the thirty-first day of each month and becomes Human for a period of roughly twenty-four hours.

The Character: Personally I've always been a fan of dark characters, especially if those characters use powers that give them control of Darkness and things like that. For a long time, my favorite character was Raven from the Teen Titans animated series. Thus when I became a writer, I dedicated myself to creating a race of beings mainly modeled after Raven and thus Jason Grayson was born. The Homo Erebus race is one of my own creation and in my other stories, I've never actually used a full blooded one. All of them are Half Demon when I draft them, but now that I think about it I can actually use a full blooded one in my to be published story Supernatural Service.
