After five minutes of waiting you begin to wonder if you should just leave, Clark Should've been back with the ice-cream by now.
Maybe there was a long line up?
Maybe he got lost?
Maybe he--
your train of thought is interrupted by a strong male voice.

"Are you the individual from the press?"

You turn taken back at the sudden interruption and glance up into the piercing blue eyes of superman!?

"you're back?" You gasp in shock, "I-I thought you had to clean up a nuclear spill or something."

Superman smiled.
"It's all taken care of!"

"You must be from the daily planet," he observes pointing out your name tag.
"Yes, yes!" You hastily gush, you almost though he was real, he looked so much like the actual superman that you found yourself in loss for words.

"Perhaps a formal introduction is in order," the man of steel said before taking your hand,
"I am Superman, Kal-El son of Jor-El and it's a pleasure to meet you miss..."
"(yln), Miss (yn) (yln)," you add with a quick grin, then you notice that the attendant had left with a huff.

"A pleasure miss (yn), but where is your partner?
if I am not mistaken the daily planet usually sends out its reporters in groups of two correct?"

"Ah, yes actually Clark is my partner for the day, he ran to get some ice-cream though he should've been back by now, matter of fact If you see him I'd greatly appreciate it if you could talk to him about punctuality and focus, he seems to be constantly running off here and there."

"Does he do this on a regular basis when he works for you miss?"
"Oh no he's not my partner, well at least not full time, he works with miss Lane, I'm sure you know her, I mean you're.....You're quite close to Lois as I've been told."

Superman smiled, "yes, Lois and I are good friends, she was the first human to interview me."
"Friends?" You blink with surprise.

"Why? did you assume we were not friends?"

"No no that's not what I meant its just everyone thinks that you and Lois are well uh,
erm everyone assumes you two are a couple."
You find yourself blushing.

"Do you think that?" Superman poses with a slight smile.

"I think of nothing."

He chuckles, " I see, you're a neutral, plausible deniability."

"I prefer the term reporter."

Superman smiles, "well, off the record Lois and I are simply just good friends."

"Right," you laugh, "I've heard that one before."

"It's true! , right now she is overseas on work isn't she? How is she by the way?"

"Well, I haven't heard from her since last Monday, but last time she contacted the daily planet she was well."

Superman nodded, "that's good, and how are you finding your work with Clark since your filling Lois' shoes?"

"Oh I'm not... I'm just a substitute, I'm not her replacement or anything, I could never write as she does."

"Sure you can, you're an excellent reporter, National support week 2010, Bengali votes, Hurricane Katrina."

"You've read my work?" You gasp in surprise.
"Yes, yes I have indeed."
