Mikleo's POV

Standing next to a bed, I stare at Sorey as he snore while he sleeps. My back faced Lailah as she sits properly while reading a book.

I turned to face her and asked, "Lailah, can I talk to you for a moment?"

She stands up, and together, we walked towards the balcony. I leaned towards the fence while facing downward, thinking deeply.

"What's wrong, Mikleo-san?" She asked me. I could hear the sounds of worry from her voice.

"I was watching Sorey today,  and was thinking," I started. I paused for a little while and continued. "Sorey is a Shepherd,  and is moving straight at that destiny without hesitation."

"Are you saying that he is going distant?"

"I don't know. Maybe."

"So what would you like to do from now on?"

I turned around, "I don't know that either." I slowly lift my face up to see her. "But I know that we can't stay like this."

"Yes."

I sat down. My back faced the fence while leaning against it. I held my knees with both of my hands.

"Sorey has become a Shepherd. What should I do? I left home with the idea of traveling with him for a while, but..."

"So you wish to return to the Elysium?"

"No, that thought did cross my mind, but..." I raised my head a little,"If Sorey is going to travel the world while being a Shepherd, I can't just leave him alone, can I?"

Lailah slowly walked towards the fence near me, holding it with both of her hands.

"Mikleo-san, you must really like Sorey-san."

"We are just stuck with each other."

"What can you do for Sorey-san... There definitely is something."

After what Lailah told me. I made up my mind and decided to leave by myself. And tonight, I am off.

The conversation that me and Lailah had last night is still lingering in my mind, "If you leave the city of Ladylake and travel far to the north, you will reach a large lake. There you will find the Galahad Ruins. Inside is a legendary Divine Artifact."

"Divine Artifact?" I ask her.

"Yes. Similar to what the sacred blade is for me." I was momentarily at awe at what she just said.

"If you find it..." She started. "I would be able to help Sorey?" I continued. "I believe so."

I keep on walking towards my destination.

I suddenly stop on walking as I can feel malevolence around the area where I currently am. I look at my surroundings carefully. I don't know what hellion it is, but I know it is still there, so I started to take steps while waiting for the hellion to come out. I stop then run fast as they chase me behind.

I summoned my staff and swing it at my back. I turned around and saw nothing.

"Damn it, what hellion is this? Snake, lizard..." I stated angrily, feeling annoyed on what is happening.

The hellion started moving fast. I saw that there were 3 of them. I run forward, away from the hellions. I stop because of the cliff, but too late... the soil that I am stepping isn't as hard as it seems. It broke, causing me to fall.

I am still on guard when I was falling. I landed beside a tree.

That is where I met her.

A woman- no, a lady, who is so beautiful that even I can't describe, lean down, looking closely on me, extending her hands.

"Are you okay, mister?"
