Epilogue

In the not too far future technology had reached a new stage. The AI. A corporation lead by the smartest scientists had achieved true Artificial Intelligence by the year 2043. Many warned about the perils of creating true AI, but the scientists assured everyone that they were safe and that the AIs could and would not harm humans.

Though, just like all the Hollywood movies warned us, but not as dramatic. In a mere decade since the AI's inception, the first casualtyhappened by the hands of a 'sex bot' AI. It was quickly contained and dismissed as a kink in the system. Unfortunately, 3 more incidents happened within a year. Before the scientists had a chance to react, both the government and the people, didn't want a mayor incident to happen, and just as quickly as the company grew, it fell into bankruptcy. All AIs were dismantled and the code was sealed away to be quickly forgotten.

A decade passed and from the ashes of AI Inc., their lead scientists joined forces with the best neurosurgeons on Earth to form a new company called Omega. Omega decided to refurbish part of the code used on the original AI's creation to make a new advancement in robotics that would completely revolutionized the world.

Omega created a new type of robot that would not require any type of AI to be controlled. Instead, they would be "operated" by a human host. The way it worked was unlike anything anyone had ever achieved. The host or operator, would sit on a machine that resembled an EKG, the brain waves and thoughts would be directly transmitted into the robot, until your consciousness was transferred to the robot. To the host, the transition was like falling asleep and waking up shortly thereafter in a new body, as a safety measure, the robot would "eject" its human host after 8 hours of operation to prevent the human body from going without sustenance for long.

A robotic body, with a human mind, solved the issue and distrust humanity had with AI and it would allow humans to do dangerous work without risking any lives. Omega Corp. named it the "Roman" for Robot + Man.

The next decade, Omega grew to be the leading corporation in everything, from space exploration, asteroid mining, military applications, to simple tasks like helping paraplegics walk again. Their advancements in EKG and controlling machinery with the mind, open the possibilities to begin research into field that were previously considered science fiction. Telepathy and telekinesis were not only studied, but achieved by many, with a simple implant on the cerebral cortex. Many more areas were being studied and Earth had truly began a new age, were everything seem possible.

Omega had built a massive empire in a mere 20 years. To commemorate their 20th Anniversary, Omega Corp began building a massive self-sustained, zero emission building, big enough to be a city. It was so massive in fact, that the base was able to fit 4 football stadiums and it was as tall as Mount Everest itself. With all of the newest advancements they had developed, Omega City was finished in just 10 years.

Omega City was the Utopia that many scientists from the 20th century envisioned a long time ago, but technology was never enough then. This city housed all the newest advancements and future developments, as well as all its present and future employees.

Everyone wanted to work for Omega Corporation. It was a privilege to be selected to work for them. They no longer held interviews or had any open applications for anyone to apply. The only way in, was to be invited to work for them. Though once inside, there was no trial period. If they hired you, you were in, period.
