Two hundred and fifty miles above the earth, the International Space Station watches over our planet with its purblind eyes. Suspended in space like a giant spider dangling from its web, the Station sees many things but reveals nothing. On board, two Russian cosmonauts are beginning a three Month tour of duty. Their job is simple - carry out routine camera maintenance and general computer repairs. Although left to their own devices, Mission Control is in steady communications and requires status reports on a regular basis.
After a restless night's sleep on board the Station, things quickly dissolve into chaos as our two cosmonauts make a series of bad decisions. Within the first few hours, cameras are turned off, computers are burnt out, consoles are chewed up and a fire breaks out in their quarters. The introduction of alcohol, a gas burner, cigarettes and a pet mouse may have had a minor influence on these events, but who can say?
