I was born in 2051, a mere 4 years before the birth of Omega Corp. I followed their growth throughout my entire life with great interest, and since as far as I could remember, it had always been my dream to work for them. When I turned 18, the first test trials on humans for telepathy and telekinesis began. I had always dreamt with being able to move objects with my mind. I signed up to the trials and luckily for me, I was selected.

They warned me that to be part of the trials, I had to have a chip inserted into my brain. Which carried many risks. I didn't care much if it meant moving objects with my mind. I signed all the paperwork and within a week, I was scheduled for brain surgery.

The surgery went well, and after complete recovery, they took me to their facilities to begin testing. The first month, they did nothing, but monitor my brain activity doing mundane activities. I had already done this before surgery. I suppose they wanted a before and after to see if there was a difference in my brain patterns, but they never really explained to me much. After this month, they trained me into meditation with the aid of psychedelic drugs. The cocktail they gave me, resembled psilocybin mushrooms in the way I felt and how my mind felt open to any and all possibilities.

A week went by, and I had achieved nothing. I wasn't able to move anything with my mind or hear other people's thoughts. The scientists tried with a slightly different drug cocktail, and alas! Nothing happened.

After 3 months into the trial, they sent me home. They mentioned that the chip wouldn't interfere with my everyday activities, but if I felt anything out of the ordinary, to call them. I never did. Years went by, and I forgot all about it. That dream became nothing more than a distant memory.

I learnt later though the news, that most of the trial had been a failure and only a dozen or so subjects had shown promise, but nothing in the scope that Omega had originally envisioned. Omega continued research, but they wouldn't go back to trials for another decade.
