"Hey pretty lady, I hope your new years takes the shot you always wanted." That is the pickup line Joe Morgan told me on New Years Eve that I never thought would happen. Joe Morgan... how do I even begin to describe him? He's perfect, captain of the basketball team, quarterback for the football team, flawless hair, breathtaking eyes, thin lips, chiseled features, toned muscles, everything that everyone wants or wishes to be.

I, however, am just a dirty blonde, cliche sky blue eyes, strong arms, busty, artist, NOT BOOKSMART, despise Netflix, and... well... new. I just moved to this town called Olivet in Michigan. Weird, huh? I never knew why they called "Pure Michigan" pure in the first place, there are a LOT of potholes. But, the people are pretty nice. There is rarely any violence and the streets are usually kept clean of drugs. It makes me sort of glad that I left Stone Mountain.

But anyway, it was December when I moved here...

**FLASHBACK**

"Chloe Carnation Del'Ray! It is the first day of your brand new school so get up and get going! NOW!" my mother screamed up to me. I rolled out of my bed, taking my rose colored comforter with me. I never was a morning person but I was all about it for new beginnings. I struggled to my feet, taking in the cold as my comforter fell off my shoulders. I hightailed it to the other side of my new room where my clothes for the day lay neatly in a pile on my dresser.

I snatched my clothes and exited my room, making my way to the bathroom. I closed and locked the door quietly, stripping down and pulling on my clothes for the day. I did all the essential needs for any normal teenage girl and went running back into my bedroom. I quickly yanked a brush through my wavy hair, letting out tears of pain. After tearing my hair out, I proceeded down the steps and into the kitchen where my mother was preparing a bowl of cereal... for her.

"Are you serious?" I groan, going to the cabinet and reaching for a bowl. My mother, out of all days, decided to be mean today.

"Sorry hun, I gotta go to work!" she started to scarf down her cereal which was Honey Nut Cheerios. I love HNC, it's my favorite. I poured my own bowl, starting to eat as the time ticked past. My mother finished before me, obviously, and quickly rushed out the door yelling, "Goodbye, love you!"
