Cassandra's Perspective

I slowly opened my eyes and reached to the left side of the bed, expecting to feel the firmness of my mate's body but I felt nothing. My eyes shot open to find myself in me and Dylan's room back at the pack house.

"Baby?" I called leaning up in bed, resting my weight back on my elbows. "How did we get back home?" I called out again but I got no verbal answer. All that happened was the door to my room slowly creaked open as if I was being encouraged and... Invited somewhere.

My eyes widened and I considered going back to sleep. I was not about to die.

My tiredness left my body as I snatched my phone off of the end table next to the bed. I clicked the power button over and over again but the phone refused to turn on.

"Crap," I muttered to myself scratching my head and deciding to get out of bed. "I am a Luna," I reassured myself looking around the room. Whatever was going on, I was sure I can handle it.

Ever since I became Luna, I had a new habit of trampling the ground when I walked. I had to be a powerful and respected Luna. There was no timidness in a Luna's outer personality. However, I had to admit, I felt incredibly weak and overpowered with the fear of being hurt. Something about protecting everyone else drove me to be stronger and forget fear, but when I had to protect myself, I got the aching desire to take off running in the opposite direction.

Staying on high alert, I walked out of the room and into the long hallway that I was all too familiar with, noticing that a light was glowing dimly in the living room. The light provided incomprehensible shadows on the wall in the hallway. I tilted my head, trying to figure out who or what could be in the living room, but it was no use.

As I, forcefully, tiptoed down the hall, I suddenly heard a loud pitched scream from a little girl.

"Love!!" I yelled sprinting down the hallway ready to shift whenever I felt the need to. My daughter's scream triggered so many things inside me. I needed to save her.

Sprinting into the living room, I saw two little girls lying on the sofa. Their backs towards me. Their long hair sprawled out over their backs and shoulder. They were in matching pajamas. They were no other than Marley and Lovella. They lied motionless on the sofa.

"Marley? Love? Are you okay?" I called running to their sides. I kneeled beside the sofa and touched Lovella's arm softly.

"Love, wake up. Are you okay?" I whispered shaking her gently. Yet, she didn't budge. The silence in the room seemed to get louder and the chills ran down my spine. I need to get out of here.

I stood and wrapped my arms around her body, ready to bring both Marley and Lovella to their beds. As I scooped Lovella into my arms, my heart stopped at the look of her.

Her eyes. Were gone. Blood streamed down her face from her eye sockets.

"Lovella!" I dropped her limp body on the floor in horror. I was shaking. I threw myself at Marley's body hoping she wasn't the same way.

"Marley," I whimpered quickly reaching for her body in agony. Witnessing she had suffered the same fate as my daughter.

"No! What happened!!" I cried collapsing to the floor. I buried my face in my quivering hands. "Please. This can't be!"I removed my hands from my face and balled my fists in my hair. I yelled out in anguish, shutting my eyes tightly. I didn't want to believe this.

Crying and hoping someone. Anyone. Would find me. Hear my cries and yells.

Suddenly, there was a strong wind that blew harshly. Cradling myself in my arms, I looked up and noticed that my surroundings had changed. I was surrounded by trees, kneeling in the grass. I could vaguely see Marley and Lovella lying on either side of me.

I looked around in silence. The silence was soon broken by the singing of the nursery rhyme "Rock a Bye Baby" It was Marley and Lovella's favorite.

"Rock a bye baby, on the hill top. When winter falls, it will commence. When it commences, your children will die. And down will come Luna, her pack, and all."

"Lovella? Marley..." I gasped recognizing their voices sing the song simultaneously. I closed my eyes and attempted to calm myself.

I'm having a nightmare. I needed to wake up. The song kept replaying. Each time, it got louder and louder. It caused my ears to ring, my insides to quake, my heart to race.

The song suddenly stopped. I was stuck listening to my own heavy breathing. "Dylan, please wake me up," I whispered.

"Mommy?" My body stiffened at her voice. Lovella's breath caressed my right cheek. I glanced at her face. Blood still freshly present on her side skin. Her eye stickers still barren, black, and empty. My shrieks caught in my threat as Marley's voice sounded.

"Auntie Cassy..." She whispered in my left ear. Glimpsing in her direction, she looked the same.

"Save us." They whispered  in my ear concurrently.

"Look at what you've done mommy."

"Baby."

"Look at what you did, Auntie Cassy."

"Princess."

"You sacrificed us."

"CASSANDRA. WAKE UP!"

I gasped as I jumped up out of my sleep. Dylan sat beside me, shirtless and caressing my hair.

"Princess, you scared me," he whimpered pulling me into his hold. "It was just another nightmare, okay." He reassured planting a kiss on my forehead.

"No. Dylan. The pack is in trouble. Grave danger."

Hi, Teddy Bears! Sorry this is so late and so short. I have a lot of stuff going on such as researching colleges which takes up most of my time. I'm back though and I'm ready to finish! Thanks for being so patient with me!
