poetry's Magnum Opus:
the lie in Sappho's heart
strings society pulls
of common morals
and useless laws
two positives never meet
two southern poles 'cannot' exist
all that is hidden can be found
if you dare to seek it and break
mediocre customs of mankind
forbidding such natural ardour
and Sappho's lyre resounds
in empty temple halls
and through dungeons
and flying finally free
over mountains and olive groves
to kiss the velvet noapte
eternally sweet reveries
