*Your POV*
11:14 pm
"Good enough" I sighed, placing the tube of black mascara onto the vanity in front of me. I had just finished fixing my makeup and hair so I could look presentable, as I was going to head out to lunch with my friends. My 'boyfriend' had just broken up with me after he told me there was someone else, and that I've changed. Because of this, my clique has been doing everything they can to take my mind off of the loss. I was always making sure I looked my best, just in case he saw me in public.
*Buzz*
bff: hey, we can't do lunch today... soz
"What!?" I gasped, staring at the glowing Iphone in disbelief, "No no no no no!"
me: what do you mean? what's up?
bff: it turns out i couldn't go today and neither can anyone else. how about tomorrow
me: fine
bff: i knew you'd understand! xx
"Fuck."
I stared at myself in the mirror for a few minutes, trying to figure out what to do with my time now that I was all ready. Unable to find a solution, I walk to my fridge. With a yank, the door opened and a dark, yellow light illuminated the half-empty containers and few leftovers. I sighed, and spun around as I grabbed the car keys off the counter top.
"Grocery shopping." I mumbled, leaving the apartment with my wallet in my pocket and my keys in hand. I opened the car door, a leather aroma escaped the vehicle and found its way to my nose. I began to start the car, and soon pulled out of the parking lot, leaving to my destination.
20 minutes later
Pulling into a packed commercial grocery store, I parked my car. I tapped the tips of my fingers on the black steering wheel before ripping the car key out of the keyhole. After I opened the door, my foot dangled outside of the car. I checked my phone and slid out of the vehicle, my eyes had been glued to the cellular device until I entered the store.
The lights in the store were dim, and a sea of elderly women were pushing carts across the store. Tugging on the handle of a grocery cart, it came unstuck from the line of staggered carts. The handle was sticky, and the colors of the cart were faded. The dirty wheels squeaked as I pushed it towards the actual entrance. I heard distant chatter, and one hit wonders play from the speakers in the mile-high ceilings. Taking my rusty cart, I decided that I should get the stuff I needed first; only because every time I go shopping, I find myself walking out of the store with unnecessary things and forget why I went to the store in the first place.
Shivering, I finally made it to the dairy aisle. Shouting could be heard at the other end of the aisle, the meat section I had guessed. As I took a gallon of 2% milk, butter, and some yogurt I reached the end of the walkway and found myself closer to the noise.
"Fuck dude!" A voice laughed, and slammed a package into a cart
As I turned the chilly corner, there were a group of men standing around the large area full of meat, cheese, eggs, and vegetables. One of them threw a tray of ground beef at another's knee cap, making them trip as they walked. They cursed at each other, as I walked around them trying to get eggs.
*THWAP*
I stumbled, my stomach racking the cart's handles. I placed a hand on the back of my head, and slowly turned around, my jaw dropped. The big one out of the group had thrown a package of meat at me.
"I-I'm so sorr" The bearded one began with wide eyes
"CHAD OH MY FUCKING GOD" Another figure shouted, bursting into laughter
