Garroth's POV

I excitedly pulled on my bandit costume.

It was finally Haloween!

I looked into the mirror at the boy dressed completely in black, and smiled.

My mom walked over and gave me a hug from behind.

She swiped my hair out of my eyes and gave me a kiss on the head.

"I'm so scared. Don't get lost, come home by ten!" she laughed and walked away.

I jumped up and down, a large smile plastered on my face.

I opened the door of my room, and ran down the stairs, and right to the front door.

My dad stood there, laughing.

"Gar Gar, whatcha doing? Are you excited?"

"Yeah!"

He opened the door to the backseat of the car, and I hopped in.

"Let's go pick up Aphie shall we?"

I nodded vigorously while I looked at his face through the rear-view mirror.

My bucket swung at my legs, as I looked out the window at all the houses we were passing. A lot of them were decorated, and they looked amazing. Like they had a lot of candy to give. I giggled, and looked down at my orange jack-o-lantern bucket, that was soon to be filled.

We arrived at a house with flowers covering the front yard, and a bright white door.

I ran over and knocked  on the door, holding up my bucket excitedly.

The door opened, and Mrs.Erona opened the door.

"Trick or treat!"

"Wow! What a nice costume! Aphmau is a bandit too!" Her mom laughed.

I smiled, and watched as Mrs.Erona's hand made its way over to my bucket with a handful of candy. She dropped it in and I squealed.

"Eeee! My first candies of Halloween!"

My dad looked down at me with a gentle smile, and whispered something into Mrs.Erona's ear. She nodded, and turned into her house, jogging up the stairs.

My dad walked me over to the sidewalk, and we stood there for a couple of minutes.

"Hey, look at that house! Isn't it cool looking?" My dad pointed over at a house across the street.

It had the front lawn fully covered in graves, skulls, and lots of Halloween-y stuff. They had orange lights that glowed only ever-so-slightly, like they were low on battery. The thing that caught my eye though, was the fact that there seemed to be a ditch in their front yard.

"Dad? Can we go to that house first?"

He nodded, and I was about to ask about Aphmau when...

"Boo!"

"OH GEEZ!" I yelled and turned around.

I saw a familiar face. Hazel eyes that seemed to have a slight shimmer in the dark, and some long, midnight black hair. My eyes relaxed, and I smiled wide.

"Aphie!"

"Squee! Gar gar!"

We jumped into each other and squeezed like it was the end of the world.

"Hi!" We said in unison.

"Aph, my dad said we could go to that house first!" I pointed to the house across the street.
