I very slowly stood up to reveal myself. "I'm sorry" I said apologetically as if I were talking to the owners of the building. The tallest boy smiles, "ain't seen nothing like you in here before, my name is Jordan but they call me J.D." and he checks me out up and down. The next two introduced themselves, Nicky and Trey. At last, there's one more who still hasn't said anything, the boy who I had my eye on. We made eye contact for a second flat before I asked, "and you?". He gave half and a smile and said "I'm James, what about yourself shorty?"
"I'm Trisha"
They smile and J.D. goes "well what are you doing here?" I hesitated before answering with "I had some family troubles, this was my only place to go," all of their faces softened as I said this. "And I can't really leave this place anytime soon." James looked as if he were going to ask why but decided not to. Trey says "well, guys its time to head back now" then he turned to me "sorry for running out so soon, will you still be here tonight?"
"I believe so" I said
"Well with that said let's go guys"
"See ya guys later"
They all waved goodbye except for James who turned to the guys and said "you guys go ahead, I think I'll hang around here for a while," and with that, J.D., Nicky, and Trey left. Me and James sat and talked for hours.

It was getting late, and chilly again, James got up and walked down to a lower floor and came back up in a blanket and wrapped us up in it, I laid close to him as even though he was a stranger, I felt safe with him.

J.D., Nicky, and Trey came back with some food for all of us, and to be blunt about it, I "chowed down". To say the least, I honestly think it impressed them, especially with my small size. "A bottomless pit" Trey called me and we all laughed over it. Nicky lit the first blunt and I smoked the night away with them, and we all ended up falling asleep in that freezing, creepy, old building and there was no place I'd rather be... Other than with my siblings of course.

I woke up the next morning and the four of them were gone, I felt a little bit of loneliness but then continued on to take advantage of the down time to explore the rest of the building and find any useful supplies for living in an abandoned building by myself. I found an old mini kitchen with some cooking utensils, I found an old sofa with a couple pillows in an office, and a couple chairs. My top floor was starting to look more and more like a mini home, for a lonely fifteen year old convict.
James showed up about an hour layer with a sandwich for me and I ate while in deep thought.
