last night,
last night you said you loved her.
not directly, though clear enough,
you called her the universe, called her a star,
and it's not like i can blame you, she's a lovely girl,
but by god so are you, you're a lot to lose,
so i'm hurt, but i don't blame you.
i should've been smarter and not fell head in,
i should've known from last time that i can't fucking win,
and i truthfully don't believe that i'm all in
not yet, but i'm still hurt
because like i said, you're a lot to lose.
last night,
you said you loved her, and i found out that i can't win
last night i realized that i'm going to be hurt again,
and last night i remembered that emotions are as hopeless as a leaf in the wind.
last night i realized that i can't win.
