Chapter 2

"BEEP BEEP BEEP" I smacked my alarm clock, causing it to be quiet. "Gosh" I huffed and dragged my exhausted body to my sink. "Gonna be another long day" I brushed my teeth and did my makeup. I didn't use foundation or powder because my toned skin was very clear and had a natural glow. I was very fortunate that all my life I had close to none if no blemishes at all. I just apply mascara and eyeliner to bring out my blue eyes, blush, lipstick and maybe concealer depending on how much sleep I got the night before. I straightened my long brown hair for a change. Usually I curl it due to it giving my head a nicer shape. But I don't remember the last time I had it straight. After 25 minutes in the bathroom I walked to my closet and grabbed a pair of black jeans, a pintuck babydoll tank, black chucks, and a coral open cardigan just incase it gets chilly. Hopefully I don't see that 'Harry' guy again. I have to admit he was extremely handsome, with those deep emerald green eyes, and those pink plump lips, all tied together with- I stopped myself in thought. "Stop! What are you thinking?" I commented aloud to myself. I grabbed my purse and keys and closed my apartment door

As I sat in my car I immediately turned on the radio to drain my thoughts of Harry. Why would I even begin to think of him as anything positive. I mean he has no manners, no respect, and the first day I meet him and he comments on my bum? There shouldn't be an ounce of positive for him in me.. but for some reason there is. Maybe I'm just hungry. I stopped by Starbucks and picked up a bacon sandwich and a coffee. I usually like the specials at Starbucks, when I do I get the specials and that is not very often. Soon enough I arrived at work and entered the same brown building, as I do everyday. "Hello Violet" Shannon greeted me. "Hello, how are you this morning?" I asked as I signed in. "I'm pretty good actually. and yourself?" she asked taking her eyes off her computer to look at me. "I'm pretty good myself. Not as tired today." She smiled "That's great. Oh by the way Ava told me yesterday to sign you in for the whole day but there was no sign out. So if you wouldn't mind, can you sign yesterday out?" She asked sweetly pointing to yesterday's unsigned slot "Oh yes, yes of course. Thank you again for that by the way" she nodded her head "Of course, you deserve a break" I laughed and walked upstairs to the Junior Kindergarten room. I was surprised to see Vickie there. "Oh hey Vickie" she turned around and smiled "Hey Violet, probably wasn't expecting to see me here at the crack of dawn huh?" we both laughed loudly. "Vick it's 7 in the morning" I replied still with a laugh hidden with my words. "That's too early for me" I turned and saw eggs on the table and a glass of orange juice. "Did you set this up for the kids?" she nodded her head. "Yeah sister Martha already put it in the fridge so I took it upon myself to set it up". "Thank You" she smiled softly "anytime" I walked into the staff closet and placed my stuff nearly on the hanger. I see Vicky just threw her things on the floor. "Hello Mis" I heard Vickie say. A child must have arrived. "Bye, have a good day" the woman spoke. I walked outside and saw Luna and James sitting on the carpet. "Hey guys" I spoke happily "Hi" they replied. "Today no playing games on the carpet ok?" James pouted and looked at me. "What?! Why!!?" he obviously wasn't pleased. "Because you guys always make a mess, and guess who has to clean it up?" I asked folding my arms around my lower chest. He pouted at me with his eyes dropping low. "you" he spoke sadly "that's right, maybe tomorrow we will see if you guys can tidy up and maybe you will get that privilege" ... "Ok" .. "You can read a book or just talk for now" he sighed and walked over to the book shelf grabbing a small book, I found it amusing that it was bigger than his head. He had to use two hands to hold the tiny thing. "Luna come read with me" he yelled at his sister. she waddled down to James.

Finally all 10 morning kids were here. "Ok guys everyone come to the carpet" I yelled getting everyone's attention "Were gonna have breakfast now, I'm gonna call you and you sit at your seats ok?" everyone yelled ok back. "Julie,James,Luna,Michael,Victoria,Jake,Stacie,Max,Austin,Alexander" they all ran to their seats and dove right into their eggs and juice. After 15 minutes they were all done eating. "Ill do dishes, you can do program?" I asked Vickie more than told so she was aware as what to do. "Great" she replied back. Vickie had Blonde hair with purple tips, and brown eyes. She was really sweet but I have to admit she was quite lazy and unorganized. We were pretty much opposites but we got along quite well, which I was thankful for. I wouldn't look forward to spending every day with someone I despise. Who would? "Ok guys were gonna read a book today. Who wants to choose it" Vickie told the kids. I washed the dishes.
