Could Be Fate (A Ross Lynch fan fiction)

Chapter 2

We all swim for awhile and then go inside for cake and presents.

"What kind of cake is it?" I ask as I look at it.

It had little R5 symbols all over it. Now I know what you might be thinking..."Oh my gosh I'd hate having my brothers band logo all over my cake" but honestly I love it!

"Chocolate fudge! Your favorite!" Rydel says as she gets plates and forks out.

"Mmmm! It looks amazing!"

I feel someone come up behind me and...they are really close... I turn to see Ross. "Oh hi!" I say as I turn around.

"Hey, happy birthday!" He smiles and I smile back. "I got you something...it's not much..." he says handing me a small box from his pocket. I take it and open it.

"Oh Ross..." I lift a R5 guitar pick on a necklace chain out of the box and look at it. It looked just like any other but this one was special...it was from Ross. "I love it! Thank you!" I give him a quick hug. I can feel him wrap his arms around my waist and then I feel something surprising! Butterflies!

What are those for? I've never gotten butterflies before...especially around the boys! They're practically brothers!

He loosens and I let go and walk around the island in the middle of the kitchen and stand in front of the cake.

"Happy birthday to you--" Ell started singing. Then they all join in.

"Happy birthday to you,

Happy birthday dear Reagan (or to Rocky it was sloth buddy)

Happy birthday to you!"

"Now make a wish!" Delly says as she stands next to Ell.

They'd be so cute together...but Ell had a girlfriend, Kenna. I never liked her... and now you know why...

I make a wish and hopefully someday it will come true but who knows. I blow the candles out and everybody claps.

Ross' pov

As I'm singing happy birthday, I look at that amazing girl that's turning sixteen. I've likes her as long as I can remember but she'd never like me back. Why would she?

Everybody starts clapping and I snap out of my daze and smile at her. I'm so glad she liked the necklace. I noticed that she had put it on which makes me smile even bigger!

We all get cake and go sit down. She opens her presents and from Ryland, she got a pair of purple LOUDER convers. From Rydel, she got several shirts and a gift card to a music store we love. From Rocky, he gave her a sloth journal and a mug that looked like Belt from "The Croods". Riker gave her a skate board that was neon green and pink. I also gave her an old picture of us from last summer. I had tucked in a hand written letter in the picture frame and hoped she would find it. Then it was Ratliff's turn... he went out of the room and came back with a rather large box. I knew what it was. We all (except Reagan) knew what it was...

"Happy birthday kid" he says handing her the box.

She takes off the wrapping paper and opens the top. Inside was an acoustic guitar. It was medium brown with faint zebra stripes on it with a neon green strap.

She looked up astonished and I could see tears. She had wanted this guitar for a long time. She set the box down and run up to Ratliff and gave him a huge hug. "Thank you so much Ell! I love it! And thank you for making this the best birthday ever. I--" I saw a tear roll down her cheek and Ellington, being the great brother he was, wiped it away with his thumb and hugged her.

"Anything to make my little sister feel special"

I love how much they love each other, how they always try to make the other feel better and how they're always there for each other.

"Thank you so much guy! You guys are so amazing and I love you all!"

Did she just say she loved me? Oh wait she said that to everybody...

"Ok well we should probably be heading home... it's kinda late." Ell said letting Reagan go.

"Yeah im tired, ill just pick up y stuff tomorrow." She said.

"Aw man! Do you have to leave?" Rydel asks looking sad. "Oooo...could you guys spend the night?!" She jumps up and down with excitement.

"I don't see why not..." Ratliff said.

"Ain't no way we're going home!" Reagan sings, giggling, as she running over to Riker and jumping on his back. "Giddy up horsy!" To had her fist up in the air and with the other she was hanging on to Riker.

"Where to?" He asks as he runs around the room.

She whispers something in him ear, making him laugh, and then they charge toward me. I don't have time to mover before Riker grabs me and throws me on the nearest couch.

"Get him!!!" Reagan yells with a laugh before she jumps onto my stomach and she and Riker tickle me all over.

Reagan's pov

Riker and I tickle Ross till he's almost crying.

"Stop! Stop! Stop!!!!" He yells from beneath me. I laugh and shake me head.

"Nope!" I say popping my p. We keep tickling him.

"Stop guys! I'm gonna pee!" He yells and I quickly stop and get of of him.

Riker gives Ross the "really?" look. Ross knew I would always stop with that threat. "Whatever!" He sits down next to Ross and I squeeze in between them.

"Well," Ross started, "how was our birthday?"

"Overall...it was amazing! And now I get to hang with my two best friends!" I reply patting Ross and Riker's legs closest to me.

"Awe you're sweet..." Riker says kinda hugging me from the side.

Ross' pov

"Overall...it was amazing! And now I get to hang with my two best friend!" Reagan says patting me leg.

Awe that's so sweet! I really like her, but I'm to chicken to ask Ratliff to date her... I'm going to soon...I think
