Tropical trees swerved in the light wind that shook them. A few ripe fruits tumbled off the trees and rolled down a hill, but stopped before they could fall over the steep cliff into the waterfall. A colourful bird glided over to the fruits and started eating them, twittering in their joy.
Out of nowhere, the small ledge the bird amd fruits rested on was destroyed by a powerful Ki blast from Piccolo, the towering green humanoid. He was suspended in the air in front of the waterfall, meditating.
Damn birds! Piccolo couldn't stand any high-pitched noises. They reminded him of joy and happiness, something his nemesis Goku could have and he couldn't. God, how he envied that carefree scumbag!
I'm sure there's a Dragon Ball around somewhere, he thought. Maybe meditation could help him sense it.
It came to him - behind the waterfall. He flew through it, holding his breath. There it was, mixed in with a pile of rocks. He picked it up and added it to the 4 he had already.
"Father, you will return and we will defeat Goku together!" Piccolo laughed. He looked down at an unused Dragon Radar that he had forced an innocent scientist to fix up for him, and saw that the 6th ball was far north, in the Yunzabit heights. He fried a few trees with of his Ki blasts as he flew away.Goku arose early from his sleepless night and stuffed some food from the fridge inside his mouth. He wrapped up the 4-star Dragon Ball and called for the Flying Nimbus.
The magic yellow cloud appeared and Goku hopped on it. He flew off on it to Bulma's mansion in West City.
