Ch.6

The next morning came. I quickly get out of my bed, head to the bathroom and wash up.

After washing up, I went to eat breakfast.

"Yoongi-ah." My dad call.

"Yea?" I answered.

"How's yo na?" He ask.

I stay quiet for a second.

"They said that her condition is getting worse." I replied.

He stayed quiet.

"I'll go visit her some time today." He said.

"Don't." I said and turn to face him, "I don't think she want to see you. You make your own daughter hate you."

He didn't say anything back.

"I'm sorry for what I've done." He said, "I'm trying to stop. I'm trying really hard."

With those words, I felt something heavy on my chest and tears start to fill my eyes.

"When you can finally quit drinking and quit with your bad habits, I'll let you visit yo na." I said, put my dish in the sink and head out.

Yoongi's dad's pov

After yoongi left, I stood there, letting tears fall from my eyes.

I'm trying really hard.

For you guys...

I'm trying really hard.

I won't let yo na go like your mother. I'll do whatever it takes to quit drinking.

Please... Give me some times..

Yoongi's pov

On my way to the hospital, I saw namjoon's car.

They stop next to me and namjoon came out, saying bye to his mom.

"Ya." He put his arm around me, "weren't you on 'vacation'? Why are you here?"

"You know my family don't do vacation." I said.

"I know." He said, "how's yo na?"

"She's.. Good." I lied.

"That's good. If you need any help, remember I'm here for you." He said.

"I know." I said.

He smiled and said, "you going to school today right?"

"No." I replied.

"What? Why? Where you going then?" He ask.

"I'm going to the hospital." I replied.

"Oh. Okay .See you later then." He said as he turn the corner.

When I arrive at the hospital, I paid for the surgery and they went to prepare for surgery.

"Yo na." I called as I stand by the door.

"Oppa!" Yo na said, excitingly.

I walk over to her and hold her hand.

"You're going to get surgery today." I said with a smile, "you won't feel hurt anymore."

"Really? So after the surgery, I can go back to school and play with hyun ji again right?" She ask.

I nod with a smile.

"Stay with me. I want to see my oppa first right after the surgery." She said.

"I won't go anywhere. I'll stay right here, by your side. Always." I said with a smile.

"Yo na, you're not scared?" I ask.

"I am." I thought to myself.

"No. It's going to make me better. I'm not scared." She said.

"That's good." I said.

"Oppa. Don't be scared. The surgery will go well. They're doctors." She said, "If I don't wake up.. If I go to where mom is, don't worry, you'll do well on your own. Just know that I'm happy that I've met mom."

"Ya. Don't say that. For a 8 years old, you sound like a grandma saying all those mature stuff already." I joke.

"Time for her surgery." The nurse said.

Ji yeon's pov

As lunch came, I took my lunch up to the roof and eat there instead.

*ring ring*

"Hello?" I answered my phone.

"Ji yeon ah. Yo na's getting her surgery today. Do you want to come see?" Yoongi ask.

"Already? What about the--"

"The money? I got it already. Don't ask me how. Just come." He said, cutting me off.

"Arrasso." I said.

I hung up, head back to the cafeteria and sneak out of the school.

When I got to the hospital, yoongi was sitting on the chairs outside of the surgery room.

"Yoongi ah!" I called.

He looked at me and wave at me to go over to him.

"How long has it been?" I ask.

"Almost and hour." He replied.

A few minutes had past, the doctor finally came out. We both head over to them.

They kept their head down.

When they finally look at us, the doctor said, "We've tried our best... Please prepare yourself to sent her off."

I frozed. So did yoongi.

"What are you talking about?" Yoongi ask, "my sister is yo na. Min yo na. You're probably mistaken."

"I'm sorry. We've tried our best." The doctor said.

I looked at yoongi, there was tears in his eyes.

"You said you can save her before the end of this month! What is this!" Yoongi yelled as he grab the doctor's collar.

"Yoongi ah." I said, trying to stop him.

"You're a doctor! Why can't you save her! You call yourself a doctor!" He continued.

The other assistant try stop yoongi ask well.

"Let go off me!" Yoongi shouted at the assistant.

"Yoongi! Stop!" I yelled. He let go of the doctor's collar and ran toward the bed the nurse and other assistant came out with.

"Yo na, wake up. You can't leave yet. Yo na!" Yoongi said as he cry harder.

"I'm sorry, you can't do this." One of the girl assistant said.

I walk over to yoongi and try to pull him away.

"Yoongi. Stop." I said as they continue to push the bed.

Yoongi fell onto his knees, crying.

I lean in close to him and give him a hug.

"She's in a better place now." I said as a tear stream down my face as well.
