Chapter 1- Unexpected Testing:
(Kiku's POV-)
It was a gorgeous day at the prestigious "Beautiful World Academy". Sunshine was leaking through the leaves of the spruce tree I rested under, reading Fanfiction off my phone.
"Hi, Kiku!" I peered up at the two girls standing above me. One had gray eyes and chocolate brown hair, while the other female had short silver hair, with orbs of bluish-gray. Karine and Kiwi. They both sported the girls' school uniform, except with some alterations, and Kiwi did not seem happy to be wearing a skirt. As per usual.
"What'cha reading?" Karine asked. Her Fanfic senses seemed to have kicked in once again. I powered my phone off, stowing it away in my bag.
"Hello, Karine-chan, Kiwi-chan. I was reading Fanfiction, as usual."
"Oh! What pairing?" Kiwi asked, interested.
"Francis-san x Arthur-kun. The one Elizaveta-chan finished yeste-" I was cut off as a sudden force rammed into me, slamming me to the ground, and knocking the air out of me.
"KEEKS!" Alfred, my long-time crush whined, pulling me in a bear hug. Did I say 'bear hug?' I meant a death grip. I felt my cheeks heat up when the two females observing started giggling. "How have you been!? I haven't seen you in ages!"
I groaned, the blush dying down a bit. Typical Alfred. "Alfred-kun, you just saw me two hours ago..."
"Oh, yeah! I remember now!" The blonde was silent for a minute, before flashing me one of his Hollywood worthy grins. "Too bad I can't stay long. I'm going to see that new superhero movie with Mattie! See'ya!" With that, Alfred left.
Karine smiled. "Ah~ So glad we installed 6Od2 outside. See you around, Kiku!" With that, the two girls left, leaving me wondering what 6Od2 even was.
I sighed, watching them disappear out of my sight, before fishing the phone out of my bag, opening the Fanfiction once again, and I began reading once more.
~TIME SKIP!~
(3rd POV-)
A note was taped to the door of his and Yao's room.
And it was addressed to him. Kiku opened the envelope's seal and removed the letter.
The short male couldn't use the handwriting to identify a writer. The message had been typed. He could see clearly that someone didn't want him to know their identity. It read:
Meet me in room 1293.
.ALONE.
-Laurasia.
The soon-to-be-secret-agent raised an eyebrow, the only visible indication of his ever-growing suspicion.
Just who did this "Laurasia" think they were? Did they just expect him to bow to their whims? Yeah, that's wasn't going to happen.
Yet this enticed him. Why would someone shroud themselves in secrecy, just to invite him to meet in the abandoned chemistry lab? It didn't make sense. And something told him this was the only way to receive an answer.
He turned on his heel, still clutching the note. Kiku stiffly walked towards room 1293, his curiosity outweighing his fear. Cautiously, Kiku placed his hand on the doorknob, swallowing the bit of bile creeping up his throat. Then he noticed something that was rather strange.
Above the slightly opened door, a water bucket was balanced delicately on the door frame. Assuming it was full, Kiku carefully eased the door open. With a shaky wobble, the bucket tipped and slammed to the ground, spilling its contents everywhere. Thankfully, it only barely splashed his loafers.
Quietly thanking every deity he could think of his cat-like reflexes, he spotted something stuck to the bottom of the bucket.
Another Note?
Instead of a short message, like last time, there was a series of numbers.

What could it be? Well, obviously it is some sort of code or cipher... But which one? The raven-haired boy wondered as he gazed at the mystery note. What could it... Wait. It was A1Z26! You know, that one cipher, where you replace all the letters with numbers?
After running it through a translator -because Kiku had no time to translate it himself if he wanted to solve this, a small message popped up. Kiku proceeded to read it out loud, the message confusing him greatly.
"Turn around...?" Hesitantly following its instructions, Kiku calmly turned to face the door, masking his worry with subtle curiosity.
Kiwi was standing in the doorway, face lit up with joy. Kiku half expected her to run up and squeeze him half to death. And guess what? That's exactly what happened. When Kiwi pulled away from the hold, she had said something Kiku had never expected to fall from her lips.
"Congratulations, Kiku Honda. Welcome to HETALIA Agency."
"W-What?" Kiku choked out, his thoughts scrambling to access the situation. Kiwi just wrapped her arm around the shorter teen, shooting him another smile.
Part 2 coming real soon! Sorry if this was too short! Chapters 2 and 3 will hopefully be much longer. But I hope you are enjoying the story so far, albeit I put a lot of effort into this chapter and the story overall. I would also like to thank my beta, @KittyMagician, for editing for me. She has some pretty interesting stuff over on her account, so do me a favor and check her out!
If you didn't notice already, two original characters are already in the story. Karine is KittyMagician, by the way, and I guess we all know who Kiwi is. And no. We will not be interfering on any of your ships. We are both hardcore Hetalia shippers!
One, I put myself in there because I couldn't bring myself to put Russia as the director, and then I asked Kitty if she wanted to be a character in the book. Both of them are based on our personalities and traits. I assure you, we have more than enough flaws to not be Mary-Sues. More original characters will be added, all based on people I know in real life, who let me base a character on them. And no, they will not be interfering with any of the ships in this book either, I swear.
Finally, if you want to see a particular type of mission, or simply a funny tale from the halls of the academy, I would love to hear it!
Hoped you enjoyed!
