The agency proved to be a lot larger than I had initially envisioned. But what was I really expecting from a government spy association? Small, only two-hundred ninety-six feet in area, with low ceilings and dim lights? I'm not sure. The actual structure opposed that idea, with high ceilings, quality lighting systems, and the overall area was about... a mile? That was the best guess I could give at the time, as I was oblivious to the many other areas and sectors underneath our feet.
"Now this," Karine gestured to a Darkwood door with a paw print engraved on it. "Is my office, and that," She pointed to another door on the opposite to the other. "Is the security surveillance room. We monitor multiple different areas of the campus with our hidden cameras."
Karine twisted the doorknob, swinging the door open to her office, paling for some unknown pressing. "O-Oh... Excuse m-me for a moment. Please wait here." She hurried inside, slamming the door behind her. A bit of rustling, shifting, and some thudding could be heard from outside the room. I swear you could've heard it from down the corridor.
Finally, after about five minutes, Karine emerged, brow beaded with sweat and hair a mess. She smiled kindly, panting slightly. She bowed in a mocking fashion, motioning towards the door. "Ladies first."
I snorted, curtsying. I stepped into the room. A desk was situated in the corner, which I could only assume was her's. On the desk rested a sleek white laptop, a Polaroid camera, and a file folder that was well overfilled with papers. What was on the laptop caught my attention.
"Is that... Yao-nii and Ivan-san?"Karine glanced over at the screen. Mouth agape, she quickly made her way over, forcing the laptop closed with her hand. She laughed nervously.
"Don't worry about that! It's nothing you should worry your pretty little head over!"
"But-"
"Anyways, we need to get going! We certainly don't have all day!"
"If you say so..."
