Lost Hope

Chapter 2

The X Factor had just finished, and I was sat in my bedroom, I was searching up stupid video clips on YouTube, when my laptop buzzed, signalling I had a Skype call request,

'Luke <3'

I clicked accept, all I wanted to do was see his face, and his smile, make sure he was safe, and okay! "Hey baby!" I looked up to the screen to see my beautiful boyfriend, I smiled to myself, just seeing his face made me feel so much better. "Ellen, are you there...?" I forgot Luke was still there,

"Hey, Luke, babe, I'm here, how are you, are you okay, how's the compe-" he cut me off,

"Stop asking questions, flippin' heck! Yes I am fine, the competition is great, stop freaking out okay."

I nodded, "Wait! How did you know what I was going to say?" He smiled to himself, like a genius.

"I have known you for ten years, I am not a complete idiot!" I laughed at him. We talked for a couple of hours, it felt amazing to be able to speak to him, just a shame we couldn't speak in person. I know it wasn't nice of me, but I wish Luke would just come home, even if he is out there, completing his dream.

"Ellen, dinner!" My mum shouted up to me, I got off my bed, and trudged downstairs. My mum put a plate of food in front of me, and I began to eat. About halfway through I was full, and began twirling food around my plate. "Ellen, hunny, are you sure you are okay?" I nodded and lied to her. "Are you sure?" This is what made me angry, why can't parents just accept your first answer?

"No, I am not okay, for the past couple of hours, I have been talking to Luke, and seeing his face, and his his voice, has annoyed me okay? Is it too much that I wish my boyfriend would just come home, so I have someone to cuddle with, and talk to? No, I thought not!" With that rant, I stormed back off to my room.

Now that was a pretty good rant!!
