"Today's a very big opportunity for me to get a better job and a way to improve my present living standards , You have to do this Erin ! Give your best !!" I speak to myself while standing in front of the mirror.
I look at myself completely for the last time in the mirror which felt like the billionth time though , I'm wearing a Zara stylish formal suit , plaid pattern legging which have green/purple/black coloured stripes that match the tarton blazer I wore, is curved at the bottoms ,a plain baby blue shirt with curved edge ,which had cost me a fortune ! , and decided to leave the blazer buttons open , to look presentable I put on my Wilson spectacles , burgundy in colour with slim frame , Windsor rims and tortoise temples which I had got from Garrett Leight , it cost me a fucking a lot but thanks to me for working extra hours at my work place (coffee house). I Tie my hair in a high pony and leave it to dangle on my shoulder, thinking brunettes are the best to make myself relaxed, lol I head for breakfast .
"G'morning Chole !!" I smile while pulling a chair and sitting at the island ,
"Morning Erin ! You look lovely " she claims
"Thank you ! You look funny yourself " I laugh and she does too.
"Babe why are you ready so early ? , there is still one hour for your shift to start" she asks looking confused .
"Chole I'm very jittery about this new job , look it's a multinational company!! ,I know I am well qualified for this well but-" she stops me in mid- sentence .
"Look Erin ! There is nothing to be nervous about , I have known you since a long time and I know you'll give your best , you are capable of this job so why not give it a try ?, you're just one hour away from it , you can't back down now , go for it " she claims , she says in a calm but agitated tone cause I know I've been irritating her ever since I got the offer.
" yup you're right , thanks for leading me out of my always-confused-state , anyways what's for breakfast ?"
" fried bread and tea " she smiles ,I let out a small sigh ,she generally cooks breakfast so I have to eat whatever she gives me ,well I can take revenge about less food when I make dinner , I smirk slightly .
"okay "
She turns with a annoyed look and chuckles .
"I know what you're thinking loggerhead ,its not even breakfast time , its 6 in the morning , so I'm giving you less , you'll stay fresh and take 4 protein bars for the way " she laughs lightly .
" okay ma'am, no give me fooooooooood " I say dragging the sentence .
"Aw hungry chica !"
She puts 4 fried breads in my plate with a cup of tea beside it , and suddenly her phone beams with the flash blinking ,and her face turns as read as a tomato . She walks to her bed room an slams the door in excitement putting the phone to her ear and babbling something I quite didn't get.
Anyways I put the plate in the sink after finishing and cleaning up, grab few protein bars and put them in my bag, seeing still half an hour to go . What do I do ?
Suddenly there's a loud thud , which makes me wonder ,yes I live in an apartment but on the topmost floor , don't think so this noise is from the roof , well unless someone decided to bang in there ugh .
Perplexed , I walk up to Chloe's room and well well who else would it be , I smile when I see are struggling to get her head of her old sweater vest , I laugh cause there are less situations where I get to laugh and Chloe doesn't get to lecture , she senses by presence in the doorway and stops jumping ,thank god or else she would have dashed our walk-in very small wardrobe door ,which was an advantage when we had come here as it was an already a renovated flat .
"Oh rack off you !" She says annoyed .
"what the fudge Chloe? , why can't you throw this old sweater ! It even torn from the side ! " I laugh .
"Torn ! Where !??? " She says shocked .
"Haha chill I was joking " I laugh again .
" okay now will you please get you stupid arse here and help me get in this cloth !" She says annoyed .
"Okay fine ! Don't be pissed baby"
"Piss off !"
I try to help her with the sweater.
"Okay stop moving or else in these killer heels you'll make me fall too " I claim when I stop laughing .
"Yeah now ,can you please come ere fast dumbass , guess I'm running short of oxygen " she says in a voice full of annoyance .
I move an bend down to help her with her vest and when I pull it out it reveals a very pissed , red faced Chloe with her hair sticking out everywhere.
"Wait who are you ?, how did you get in my flat ?" I joke .
"shut up and hahaha its 6:50 , oops guess Ms. laughy laugh Is late ?" I raises a brow at me .
"ugh Chloe !" she laugh and I run around to find my stuff , files ? check , résumé ! check ! ,pheww,,, perfume ???? wtf ...
"Chloe !!!!!!!I think I LOST MY PERFUME I'LL SMELL LIKE THAT PLACE AND THIS SUIT , DAMN YOU WHERE IS IT ?!??!? " I shout to make my words clear .
" here ! you left it in my room " she chuckles and hugs me tight . I spray the scent on my wrist and some behind my ear , it's Alien by Thierry Mugier .
" You'll be good , off you go now alien !" she says and with that I run straight to the lift , which is even slower than a damn sloth .
" bye Chloe ! I'll be back soon , love ye !" I scream heading out .
"Okies Bye Erieeee , love Ye too ! GOOD LUCK !!! And call me on the way back " She screams back .
15 floors down I finally walk towards my car in the car park .
I unlock the car after pressing at least 4th time on my key and get in my car , I hold the steering wheel and close my eyes for a second and set the car into motion , rev up the engine , going as fast as I can to reach the work place .
