Sounds Of Water

Summer break!

It was may twenty forth, the last day of school!

I planned on going to a last day blast type of thing that consisted of going to the beach, getting tan and or sunburned, eating cookies, and drinking soda with my friends.

The bell rings! finally done, its been a long year. Having an older bro was nice freshman year and I knew a lot of upper class men so I was good on freshman Friday.

Someone comes up and slaps my but. I turn around looking at the most sinister and satisfied grin. of course it was my friend Cassie. she had been bugging me to take her paddle boarding all spring and don't get me wrong I will. its just I only have one paddle so I gotta work to buy another. And me I'm a little lazy.

Chase walks up and gives me a hug. he is the most redneck it gets. We go fishing all the time. his girlfriend Bailey with him I give her a wink.

"Ok let's hit the beach, wait I still gotta get Amy" Cassie says. well let's get her!

We scanned the halls like a hunting party me being the guy with the gun and chase... well he was the dog and Cassie the bullets. We searched up and down turning left and right. most of the kids were gone except for the buss riders. lucky for me Cassie is a junior and I can get a ride from her.

FINALY!!! Cassie exclaimed. Amy looked startled and confused. and then she remembered when we said lets go!!! the three of us picked her up chase got the legs I got the arms and Cassie sat on top while Bailey

Laughed. "its like you can take this to the beach, you'd save so much on gas" Bailey said. we all laughed and headed down the hall.

We stopped at Cassie's car and she hopped of and unlocked it we set Amy in the backseat with bailey and Chase. and I got shotgun. Cassie turned the car on and Katy perry starts blasting. I don't get why she listens to the radio at ear splitting volume, then turns it off with it on so it makes you jump out of your seat!

We start to sing and we were at the beach in no time. time seems to fly with my friends whether its crazy car rides or peacefully fishing it's always fun.

Being the last day of school other kids would show up later but right now it wasn't crowded so we hit the waves. My uncle about three years ago said for my birthday he'd make me a surf board and it's been three years but I have one, so I took to the waves and started shredding it. well not exactly I can basically do a cut back and that's it other than that it's just fun.

After awhile I let Amy on and she rides a few. don't get me wrong I am single right now but Amy and Cassie are both two years older than me and I'm coming out of a chunky stage so not the best time to try to get one. I'm running three miles a day and I'm pretty skinny now. I never was fat but I got close when I was 12.

On one of Amy's rides I see chase in the surf and Amy riding the board then I here a clunk. well lets just say chase got a nice goose egg on his head from this experience.

It started getting dark so we headed to the pier.

I love the beach at night you here the waves feel the breeze and it's cooler. the pier always has been one of my favorite places to chill the had oysters, a great seafood place. the had mikes a bar at the end and a arcade that's packed in the middle of summer.

Being a good friend I buy my buddies some drinks and we head to the end to sit and talk. you never know what we're going to talk about but it seems we never run out of things to say. "We're gonna have a great summer!" Amy says.
