I was almost sure of the fact that my life was going to become a big mess after this move, no this isn't the first time my mom's yanked me across the country by my hoodie. Every four years, like clockwork, she gets re-stationed by her job, and we have to up and move to another state, causing me to become not only less social, but a little on edge about well... I guess you could say everything.

Ever since my dad died, all I've been able to do is try my best to make him proud, and live up to my full potential, to be an amazing, fully capable woman, just like he always said.

"Kiera!"... "Kiera get up!" I heard footsteps approach my bedroom door as I drowned myself in pillows, covering my head with blankets and undenyable stress, and yet somehow before I could reach for the second set of covers... YANK! She snatched them straight out of my ice cold hands. "Ugh, do you have to pull this shit every morning? It's getting old mom." I groaned, smothering my face with an oversized pillow. "Don't speak to me like that young woman, now get up." she sneered.

"What if I don't wanna?" boy oh boy, did I just make a big mistake! "You have three seconds Kiera!" she stopped dead in the middle of the hall, not even daring to question her I sprung off my ass and onto my feet.  "Okay, I'm up jeezlouise." I gritted my teeth trying to pretend I wasn't just petrified, then I continued dragging myself to the bathroom.

The car ride was not only melodramatic and quiet, but just plain depressing. For lack of better judgement, I had thought my mother was on one today.

"Am I picking you up?" she said while overcompensating a parking spot. "No, I'm gonna take the city bus." I said opening the door. "Ok.. well, I love you!" she said scrunching her eyebrows out of confusion. "You too." I swiftly responded emotionlessly closing the car door, then making my way indoors.

"Hi... I'm Kiera Taylor, I need my schedule?" I asked as if I weren't sure I was in the right place. "You'll have to wait a moment sweetheart, I have to take this call." the elderly lady seated behind the counter responded. I sat in the first seat I saw, and began to scan through snap stories when suddenly, the office doors busted open.....

Who came through the doors?

Why did they cause so much noise?

Did they even have a reason?
