Chapter Eight

Day time came faster than I would have liked and since I forgot to close the blinds so the sun was coming through from the window and hitting directly in my eyes. I let out a long yawn and stretched my legs accidently hitting Ana in the process. Her eyes slowly opened and she looked at me with a scowl.

“You're still in wolf form I see.” I nodded at her and moved closer so that I lick her face. Her nose immediately scrunched up with disgust and she pushed me away.

“That's gross Gabe! You brush your teeth. It smells like a dog’s”

I am a dog. I told her smugly.

“Fucking idiot” she mumbled under her breath and stood up from the bed. My eyes raked over her body for a second, she looks good in my clothes; even if she is only wearing my shirt. I moved my eyes back up to her face and met her eyes and she gave me a smirk.

“I’m gonna go shower and get breakfast started. Change back before you come downstairs.” I nodded and her and curled back up into my bed and started to fall back asleep.

“That means now Gabriel!” I jumped up at Ana’s booming voice and rolled out of bed. With great effort mind you. I walked into my bathroom and stood in front of my mirror and looked at myself. My mix matched eyes were still glowing so that meant that it wasn’t just a night thing. My pure white hair looked a little on the silver side and looked like water every time that I moved. How was I supposed to change back? I never had a wolf before all of this is new to me.

Hey, Michael I have a question. I mind linked the Alpha and waited for his reply.

What is it Gabriel. I’m kind busy right now. Hmm I wonder doing what.

How do you shift back? I waited a few minutes for this answer but I got none. Asshole.

I don’t know Gabe. You just do it. Think of your human form and you change, just like that. Now if you'll excuse me, me and my Luna are very busy. I grimace at the image that came in my head and cut the mindlink. Okay, you can do this Gabe just think, focus, you have shoulder length blonde and brown hair. One green eye and one blue. You’re tall around 6’6 just- one second I was in huge white wolf standing on four legs and the next I was laying on the floor butt-naked and back into my human form. I stood up and stretched. I walked over to the shower and turned it on to has hot as I could stand it. After doing my daily routine I turned off the water and dried off. I walked back into my room and slipped on a pair of shorts, t-shirt, socks and my tennis shoes. I planned on going for a run and working out today. I made my way downstairs and walked into the kitchen. Ana was putting the last of the bacon on a plate. I walked over to her and kissed her cheek taking the plate from her and moving it into the dining room.

“Thanks handsome.” She called out, I turned back to her and sent her a small wink. I set the plate of bacon down and sent a mindlink to everyone in the house saying that breakfast was ready. The room filled up almost immediately. The pups of course got first dibs and so did the elders. In my old pack the Alpha and his family always got served first but here they always get served almost last. Michael says it’s because he wants his pack to be well fed and happy. If more food needs to be made then it will be. There was no reason for him to go first. Speaking of Michael he came in a little later helping the Luna downstairs. She was pregnant, everyone could tell now but no one commented. She was sporting a small baby bump, probably around three or four months.

“Oh, Gabriel you turned back. That’s great. Congratulations love.” Emily, the Luna told me and she came over to me and kissed my cheek.

“Thank you.” I sent her a smile and gave her a quick hug back.

“Alright, let’s eat. The pack warriors have training today and I want to test out Gabriel’s new wolf.” Michael called out, I looked over at him and he sent me a wink. I smirked and walked over to Ana and took a seat next to her. Breakfast went as usual and once I was finished with my plate I kissed Ana on the cheek again and took my plate into the kitchen. After putting it away I made my way upstairs to brush my teeth and again and then went to the backyard to meet up with the other pack warriors. As soon as I walked out I got a round of applause from the warriors and John made his way over to me swinging his arm around my shoulders.

“My man. Look at you back in human form. How was your first run?” He asked me. I shrugged and then sent him a bright smile.

“It was great dude. I fucking loved it, I honestly had no idea on what I missing out on” he grinned at me.

“You're the fastest wolf I have ever seen. Even Michael had a hard time keeping up with you.” I nodded, it was true. I kept a pretty good distance from the group. I wasn't even trying.

“Okay guys, we're going to do our daily run around the territory again but this time in wolf for. Gabriel like always, I want you up front. I nodded and walked away from John. Everyone began to strip out of their clothes and while I never got to do that with them before I did today and I couldn't help but to fill a bubble of happiness fill me. I heard the cracking of bones fill the air around me. How do you change back into your wolf form? Is it just like changing into your human? I thought of white hair and a long tail and before I knew it I was a dog again… Well a wolf.

Everyone ready? Michael asked through the link. There were answers of yes and howls in the air.

Let's go then. And then we were off. I was already farther ahead than everyone else and I pushed myself faster. It didn’t even feel like my feet were touching the ground at this point. Everything around me was a blur of colors but I knew exactly where I was and what direction I needed to move. I didn’t even need to think about it. It was like my body was doing all of this all on it’s own.

Gabriel, slow down. You’re going too fast, we’re losing you. Michael’s voice infiltrated my mind and I willed for my body to slow down. When I came to a complete stop I had wasn’t even breathing hard but I took the time that I had to relax my muscles a bit. It took a minute for the rest of the group to catch up and once they were about five feet behind me I began to run again but this time at a slower pace. We finished the pack run and moved on to wolf on wolf combat next. I fought against John and then Adam. I beat then in five seconds flat and before I knew it I was up against Michael.

You’re getting good pup. I’m not sure how you’re beating all of my best fighters but I’m impressed. Maybe we need to rank you up. I let out a laugh which sounded like a yelp.

Rank me up to what? Alpha? I gave a snarky reply back. Michael glared at me but he knew that I was just playing. I saw his muscles tense about a second before he launched himself at me. I easily stepped to the side and he went tumbling past me. He bumped into a tree and hopped back up to his feet just as quickly as he fell. He darted towards me again and as soon as he was close enough I jumped into the air and landed on his back. I pushed his face into the ground with my hind legs and landed on the ground just behind him. I turned instantly and ran into him from the side causing him to fall over. I put his neck in between my top and bottom jaw and lightly squeezed. His tail hit the group three times and I let go. He stood up and nodded at me. That was the way the that practice went for the rest of day and the days that followed. I practiced in my wolf form day in and day out getting better and stronger each and every day. And the more that I did the more things began to change. Starting with Ana.

*I apologize for such a long wait I just started a new job and like I said before, high school. I’m realized that I cannot be putting myself on a updating schedule because I will not keep up with it. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to balance myself out between school, work and practice. This chapter was just a filler so that you guys didn’t kill me and I have a whole lot of drama and stuff coming up in the next couple of chapters that will be a whole lot longer than this. Hopefully I’ll be updating soon but no promises I’m surprised that I even got this in. I love you guys!
