"Mom! How is he?" I come busting through the waiting room door coming to hug my mom.
"Braleyn! Sit down please. Your brother is in serious condition, Maybe life threatening." I sit down and start to cry. Jake comes to hug and comfort me. I lay my head on his shoulder.
"I am sorry if I get your shoulder wet." I say with a slight laugh.
"Its okay. I have plenty of other shirts."
I look over to my parents both in the formal attire for work.
"You guys need to change. We will probably be here for a while."
~ 2 weeks later..~ (Fast forwarding back to the beginning)
How can I be pregnant? I have my life all planned out! I cant be a parent just yet! My brother is still finishing recover and suddenly I am pregnant. I almost lost my brother and my parents are stressed that they almost lost him. I cant put more on them. I got to tell Jake first... After all, he is the father. I pick up my phone to call him. When I am about to dials his number I stop. I have to tell him face to face... I don't know how he is going to react. What if he takes it the wrong way and breaks up with me on the phone? I get up and put my hair in a messy bun. I don't need to put makeup because it is already on. I look at the time its 2:00 on a Saturday. I hope he is home! I grab my keys and my purse since I already have my phone in hand. I walk down stairs and my mom is in the kitchen getting something to drink. "I am going to Jake's. Be back!" "Okay! Be safe, Honey!" I walk out of my house and the walk to my new 2017 white Lexus Ifa! I am so glad I got it for my 18th birthday a few weeks back. When I get to Jake's house I see that he is home because his room light is on... I knock on the door and Jake's mom answers. "Hi, I am here to see Jake. Is he in his room?" "Yes he is. I haven't seen you in a while Braleyn." She treat me like her daughter since I have been dating her son for 4 years...
"Oh, Well I have been busy with school and all." I run upstairs to Jakes room.
I come into his room and he is sitting on his bed on his phone. He gets up when he see me and says, "Hey Braleyn, I didn't know you where coming."
"I need to tell you something."
"Okay, What is it."
I blurt out, "I am pregnant."
