It was a normal night for everyone living in Seika City. Crimes such as robberies leave the police baffled.

But, for tonight, a certain thief decided to take off from stealing anything. Instead the thief was 'babysitting' her slightly older best friend. "Come on, Seira-chan, I know you want to go outside, but you're sick." Meimi scolded Seira gently. Meimi was sitting on Seira's bed as she watched Seira squirm in the covers. I know she's hot, but I can't take the cover off. Meimi thought. Meimi grabbed the cover and Seira whimpered at the warm cover being pulled over her body.

"Get it off." Seira whispered, kicking the cover off. In shock, Meimi quickly grabbed the cover and moved it away.

"Is that better?" Meimi asked. Seira could only moan as Meimi felt her forehead. Meimi frowned as Seira tried to get comfortable, but she couldn't. This has to be the flu! It can't be a cold. Seira-chan normally wouldn't be this feisty with a cold. The girl thought as she watched Seira suffer through her illness. Meimi's mother. Eimi Haneoka had finally called her and she told Seira to try and rest as she stepped outside of Seira's room. "Hello?" She answered her mother's phone call.

"How is she?" Eimi asked and Meimi wondered whether to just tell her the truth or lie to her. "Don't lie to me, either, Meimi. I will know if you are lying to me." Eimi tells her daughter and Meimi sighed.

"She's not comfortable. She even kicked the cover off of herself, Mom!" Meimi shouted at her mother in worry about her best friend and Eimi's eyes widened in fear. Don't tell me... The woman's thought trailed off.

"Is it okay that I come over there?" Eimi asked as she knew how protective her daughter got over Seira. It was a miracle that she even let Seira's caretakers touch her as Meimi normally doesn't like anyone trying to touch Seira when she's on edge or when Seira's sick.

"I trust you, Mom. Of course, you can come over." Meimi answered her mother's question. "You know about Seira-chan. You wouldn't...hurt her." Meimi had let her words trailed off and Eimi knew that she was watching Seira. Eimi sighed. Oh, Meimi, I am so sorry that I have to be the one to do this to both you and her. Eimi hated what she was about to do but she had to get Meimi away from Seira just for the night.

"Okay, I will be there in a few minutes." She told Meimi and she hung up the phone. Meimi went back to watching Seira and when her mother arrived, Meimi was shocked to see that her mother was giving her a sad look.

"What's wrong, Mom?" Meimi asked her mother. She's going to make this hard for me, I know she is! She thought to herself but she spoke to Meimi regardless.

"I'm sorry, Meimi but I have to ask you to leave." Eimi could hear a pin drop with how silent Meimi had gotten. Seira whimpered and Eimi was immediately by her side. Meimi had tears welling up in her eyes at her mother's words but she knew that it was coming. Her mother was a doctor after all and Seira just so happened to get easily sick around the times that seasons changed and then the flu season came about.

"Will my appearance make it harder for her?" Meimi asked as that was the only important thing for her to know at the moment. She would leave if she was causing Seira's distress.

"Meimi, as much as I don't want to lie, your appearance is causing her more distress than usual. Is it because she's your helper when you're Saint Tail?" Her mother asked Meimi and Meimi became slightly defensive of the nun.

"She has nothing to do with how I act outside of that!" She hissed at her mother. Plus, I told her to not worry about not being able to help me when she's sick. I've told her repeatedly to not feel guilty about that. Meimi thought as she clinched her fists tightly. Her mother raised her hands in an defensive way that told Meimi that she didn't mean anything by her words. "You have a way with words, Mom, because that totally pissed me off." Meimi explained to her mother.

"I get that and I'm sorry. I didn't know you would have taken that as a threat to her well-being. I know you're Saint Tail and you know that I was Saint Lucifer. I wouldn't dare hurt her. I love her like she's my second daughter." Eimi tells Meimi and the girl inwardly frown. I know Mother wouldn't hurt her but there are other people who will. She thought, worrying about Seira. "How about this? Maybe you don't have to stay away for a couple of days but could you try just for couple of hours?" Eimi asked and Meimi sighed. That's fucking better than three days and I can't even do two days away from Seira-chan. Meimi thought.

"Fine. A couple of hours away and then I will be back." Meimi tells her mother and the woman nodded her head. "Help her." Meimi begged her Mom before she had left the room and the house. Eimi smiled at how easily convinced Meimi was to let her help Seira and she turned back to Seira.

"Seira-chan, can you open your eyes for me?" Eimi asked of Seira. Seira's eyes opened for a quick moment before they fluttered shut once again, telling Eimi that Seira was sick as a dog and thus, she had to hurry and start giving Seira medicine. "You don't have to open your eyes but please open your mouth." Eimi pleaded with Seira and the girl opened her mouth as wide as she could at the moment and Eimi smiled down at Seira. That's real good, Seira-chan. The woman thought as she placed the small chewable on Seira's tongue. Seira chewed up the medicine as her face scrunched up at the nasty taste the medicine had. "You're doing good, Seira." Eimi praised Seira as the girl fell into another uneasy nap.
