HII! So um I guess I forgot to mention, but Luffy will probably be pretty OOC 😂 But that's okay because even though he's an ass we all know he has a soft side to him ;33 Anyways, comment and star the chapter, I honestly love to have feedback and advice from those of you who read my stories so yeah! I won't make this note last ages and without further ado, here's the chapter !!!

Nami had been laying in bed, staring up at the ceiling for the last hour. She was due to head back downstairs for dinner in another hour and a half. She was deep in thought about Luffy; for instance, how could she convince her father to cancel the engagement, or even set her up with Ace instead. Now he was a real gentleman. She ended up falling asleep after a few minutes.

She was woken around an hour later to someone shaking her shoulder roughly.

"Oi! Princess! Wake up, it's dinner time, and I'm starvin'!"

She frowned at the voice, "What the hell are you doing in here?" She snapped.

She could tell he was smirking without even looking at him.

"Your parents sent me to wake you," she felt his hand grip her shoulder, "and if you aren't too keen on getting up, then I'm going to carry you because I'm hungry, and I don't want to wait for you"

Nami frowned and slowly placed her hand over his. Wow.. It's warm.. She blushed at her thoughts before shaking her head and removing his hands.

"Your lucky I'm hungry too.." She said before sitting up, stretching, and exiting her bed.

As they made their way down the stairs, Luffy offered his arm to Nami.

"No way in hell am I clinging onto you!" She hissed at him, earning a smirked.

"But princess, aren't we supposed to be engaged? I get that you don't particularly like me, but come on, sooner or later we'll be doing much more than holding each others hands and arms, if you know what I mean," she gasps softly and slaps his arm.

"I most certainly won't be engaging in those activities with you!" She huffs and turns away to hide her flushed cheeks.

"Yeah, well your red cheeks say otherwise. You should look in a mirror, you look like a lobster. Maybe I should call you that instead of princess," by now they had approached the large door leading to the dining hall.

Nami growled softly at him and turned away before pushing the large door open.

"Ah, here they are now!~" Nami smiles brightly at her and Luffy's family.

"So.. Who's ready to eat? Nami, you can sit here if you'd like," Ace grins and pats the chair beside him.

Nami returns and the smile, "As a matter of fact, I'd-" Luffy wraps an arm around her waist and pulls her to him before cutting her off.

"She'll be sitting with me," he says and guides her to a seat beside him.

Nami huffs and turns away from him. She had really wanted to sit next to Ace.

Who knew that tonight, her life would be flipped upside down because of a single man.
