yOO I want to start getting this story into gear so yeah, I'm trying to update whenever I can aha

It had been two days since Luffy and Nami had met. And additionally, the day that their parents had set to decide whether or not Nami would spend 90 days of... bonding time, with him.

They had been... mostly good... ok, they were terrible. Fights here and there, violence (from Nami), and insults thrown about.

Nami dreaded the moment that her parents would stick her on a ship with him. Yes, they wouldn't be completely alone, but they'd be surrounded by strangers, most likely all men.

It was already half-past noon. Nami was supposed to be downstairs over two hours ago. He was probably already down there. No, he was definitely down there. He was gone by the time Nami woke up.

Nami sighed loudly. "Guess I have to go, don't I?" She left the comfort of her bed, and changed, before brushing out her hair and heading downstairs.

As she entered the main hall, she was greeted with silence and all eyes were fixed on her.

Luffy snorted before muttering, "it's about time the witch woke up."

Nami glared at him, "what'd you just call me?!"

Luffy smirked. "You heard me."

Nami growled, "Don't fucking test me, you-"

Nami's mother cleared her throat.

"It seems to me, that you two aren't able to get along. Therefore, Nami, you will be joining Luffy at sea for 90 days. You are to depart after lunch. That is final." Her mother looked far from annoyed. Even Ace, who had seemed to be extremely laid back, looked pretty done.

"We'll send a message when the ninety days is up. You are to be married after that, so I'm hoping you'll be on better terms by then." She finished, and Nami nodded.

"Yes, mother..." she didn't even bother arguing back. Her mother wouldn't be changing her mind any time soon.

---

Nami fought back tears as she packed the last of what she would need for the trip.

Once her packing is finished, she makes her way back downstairs, where everyone else is waiting. She notices that Luffy has changed into a loose long-sleeved cardigan, with the same shorts except he has a yellow sash tied around his waist. The cardigan is undone, revealing his toned chest and the large scar etched across it.

Nami blushes at the sight, then clears her throat, "I'm here now.."

"Ah, Nami. Are you ready?" Her mother smiles gently. Nami finds it difficult to return the smile but offers her a half-hearted one.

"Yeah.. I guess I am.." she turns to her parents and sister. "I'm going to miss you guys... so much..." she can feel the tears threatening to fall.

Nojiko smiles and pulls her into a hug.

"Don't worry! We'll write as much as possible! Plus, the time will probably go by pretty fast. I met the ships crew members. They all seem like great people. Plus, Sanji will be there to cook. So nothing to worry about, kay?" Nami's mood instantly improves with her sisters words.
